We are 500/1 to finish 4th. Don't those odds seem generous?
So we need:

Spurs beat Villa - 60%
Spurs beat Leicester - 25%
Leicester beat Chelsea - 25%
Villa draw with or beat Chelsea - 40%
Burnley draw with or beat Liverpool - 35%
Palace draw with or beat Liverpool - 35%

Overall my arbitrary estimations calculate through to a 0.18375% chance, which would make 500/1 spot on.

Probably not, we will still be 6th probably.

Yeah we are definitely fighting it out for 6th. Need west ham to lose tomorrow as we won’t beat Leicester if they need to win. Imagine if West Ham pip us to sixth on the last day. Unbearable.

Leicester beating United's B team all of a sudden looking like a really important result. Could have overtaken them if they'd lost that.

This is a bad result for us - Leicester now have loads to play for on Sunday no matter what the Liverpool score is and we're likely going to need a win to avoid the ECL.

Even if we took a point against Leeds we might have gone into MW38 with a fighting chance for the top 4.

That result pisses me off so much. Shocking performance conceding 3 against a newly promoted side. Defense badly needs fixing.

I mean it's 5th match in a row when you can say Leicester weren't great at all?

I don't follow the ECL hate. It's a great opportunity for us to blood in our talented youth players, similar to how Redknapp treated the EL when he was our manager. When you consider the amount of football set to played between the end of this season and the start of next season.

May 23rd - Season ends
May 24th - Players begin reporting to national teams
May 26th - EL FINAL
May 29th - CL FINAL
May 30th - Remaining players report to national teams
May 30th-June 11th - EURO 2021 PREPARATIONS
June 11th - July 11th - EURO 2021
June 15th - August 29th - Europa Conference League Qualifying and Playoffs
2-3 week break for players involved in Euros
July 2nd or 5th - August 14th - PRE-SEASONS
July 21st- August 7th - TOKYO OLYMPICS
August 14th - 2021/2022 SEASON STARTS

All teams, with several international players, will have to rotate heavily and prioritize player health if they want to win the big honors. For us, that means fielding relatively youthful sides in the ECL and playing our big guns in the Premier League and FA Cup.

We were beaten by an in form team. Leeds are joint top with Man City over the last 10 league games, with the fewest goals conceeded.

Need Liverpool to not win tomorrow so

1. We can leapfrog them
2. Leicester don't have to fight in their last game against us

Yeah the margins are fine and ultimately Poch and Levy have to foot the blame. Sounds like there was a lot of disagreement and intransigence when it came to targets. I suppose lucks comes into play to a fair extent, but we've come out on the bad half of a lot of relatively 50/50 choices.

Lo Celso vs Fernandes
Aurier vs Perreira
Ndombele vs Tielemans
Anyone vs Sanchez

Obviously an oversimplification with Fernandes costing more than Lo Celso, Ndombele probably having a higher ceiling than Tielemans (if he can reach it), etc. but we have got a lot of these big transfers wrong in the past few years which has set us back.

I still have faith that Lo Celso and Ndombele can be top premier league players under the right manager, but there's no denying that we'd have been far better off these past 2 years if we'd brought in Fernandes and Tielemans instead. For an outlay of over £100M we have nowhere near enough to show for it yet.
Sissoko vs A steaming turd

The margins are indeed fine between Sissoko and a turd.
