Difficult to judge how good Ireland were because Scotland weren't all that good. I can't see them beating Wales next week though.

As it stands it could still be anyone of England, France, Ireland and Wales. We don't really know any more after this weekend.
Wales stuttered and looked predictable
England looked vulnerable and naive
France ....well they're France
Ireland did OK but it was against poor opposition

Feck knows but I do loves this time of year!

I think it'll finish

France
England
Wales
Ireland
Italy
Scotland

Possibly with France, England and Wales all finishing on 8 points. Wales v France and England v Wales will be the decisive games. I'd fancy France for the Grand Slam if they had Wales at home and Ireland away, rather than the other way round.

I think England will lose at least one more game. Would be nice if we stopped gifting teams 15 point starts before trying to haul them back as we have seen recently!

Everyone I speak to seems to think Wales will beat Ireland this weekend.

Is it only me that fancies the Irish to still be on for a slam after the next rond of games? Wales looked iffy against Italy, and all that decided that match was an absolute gift of a try for the Welsh at the start.
Ireland beat them last year and most importantly, the Lions 'tired' thing will affect Wales more than anyone else for obvious reasons.

It should be a cracker either way.

Not sure there'll be a Slam this yr. It's between 4 teams right now.

Everyone seems to think we'll win coz its what we do. :)

To be honest my gut says Ireland will just nik it, but that might change come match day.

It was only an absolute gift of a try that gave Italy hope of getting back into that game.

We had an a much worse start last year!

Really difficult to call but I think home advantage might just swing it for Ireland by 5 points.

Yeah I'm wary of saying anything bad about Wales after last year when until about the 70th minute against France it looked like they might get the wooden spoon.

Based on week 1 you'd fancy Ireland but it depends who is up for it on the day.

Think whoever wins that game will win the Championship.

England have stuck with the same 23, so presume it will be the same team unless Not Very comes in at 15 with Brown on the wing.

Be "interesting" if Farrell picks up a knock. Not fly half cover yet again. 36 isn't anything like international fly half cover ( jury is still out if he is an international inside centre! ) and Goode isn't either.

I think the championship could turn in to a slam if France build up a head of steam. They have the talent for sure.
