Really like rondon absolute battering ram of a striker and would be a good player from the bench but I’m not sure we would play to his strength like LLorente

The difference for me is that Rondon is more of a bruiser and will hassle the CBs a lot more than Llorente does.

Can we afford to clear out half our squad? I understand Toby and Eriksen will be difficult situations due to contracts but other than that, I don't see how we can afford to have a massive overhaul.

Vorm - Makes sense, not playing, 3rd choice now and we can bring in a younger goalkeeper.
Aurier - More likely to go than Trippier
Nkoudou - Will anyone take him?
Janssen - See above
Wanyama - See above, plagued with injury these days, shame because that first season with us he was immense
Llorente - Contract expiring

4 of those have barely played a game between them but Llorente, Aurier, Toby and Janssen all have a lot of minutes this season. So already that is 4 players we would need to replace on top of a world class CM or 2. We can't even complete 1 deal, so how the hell will we get 5/6 over the line
Because reading between the lines Poch will walk if he doesn't get what he wants.

Well yeah and hopefully we can do business this summer. But I'm struggling to see us bringing in more than 3/4. In which case, I don't see us shifting on many of the current squad unless the contracts are running down/expiring.

Poch has described this summer as 'massive' and 'the biggest', which would indicate more than 3 or 4. We fucking need a massive refresh as well.

I don't see them as similar. Skipp IMO is more of a shield in front of the CBs and Longstaff more of an all rounder.

Still a little pointless if you ask me, Skipp who is still young have been developing him for some time, no reason why he can't become an all rounder himself.

I'd give Llorente another year, especially if we can't get anyone better than Rondon.

Oh I agree, we need some fresh faces and some quality. How many years have we been thinking "get top 4, players will come"..."ok get top 4 a few times, players will come". Too long we have flirted with the idea of bringing in some top class players, hopefully we can get top 4 and start showing our amibition in the transfer market. We have everything in place now, just hope top 4 bonds all that together. Stadium, training facilities, Kane, Poch. It's enough for anyone to want to join...right?

Possibly. The thing is though, just over a year ago Maddison was a 20m player and now he'd probably be touted at over 50m. Longstaff will quite likely be the same whereas Skipp probably won't. I can almost see the £ signs in Levy's beady little eyes.

Maddison is a starter and he's improved which is why his vale has shot up, I don't see Longstaff walking straight into our starting eleven.

Tottenham looking to snatch £30m-rated Andre Gomes from under the noses of Everton

Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy is willing to sanction a £30 million summer move to try to snatch midfielder Andre Gomes from under the noses of Everton.

Gomes has impressed during his season-long loan spell at Everton and the Toffees are desperate to sign him on a permanent deal from Barcelona.

But they are set to face stiff competition from Spurs, as well as other clubs, who believe the 25 year-old could prove to be a bargain.

Tottenham considered signing Gomes on loan in January 2018 and have monitored his progress ever since.

Chief scout Steve Hitchen was at Anfield to watch Gomes in the Merseyside derby between Liverpool and Everton in December and manager Mauricio Pochettino is an admirer of the player.

Pochettino has made it clear that Tottenham need to spend this summer, as he plots how to refresh his squad.

Following the departure of Mousa Dembele and with doubts over the future of Christian Eriksen, one of Pochettino’s main priorities will be to strengthen his midfield.

Tottenham also retain an interest in Ryan Sessegnon, who is expected to leave Fulham following their relegation, and have previously considered a bid for striker Aleksandar Mitrovic. Norwich right-back Max Aarons and Swansea City’s Daniel James are also on their radar.

He's done OK for Everton, and in some ways he does have the forward passing capabilities that we lack, but I dunno, he's so wooden, and looks like he's running in treacle most of the time. Pass.

Longstaff? Really? Poch wants us to turn into fucking PL/CL winners, not a home for any English player who's shown a slither of promise.

I think my absolute top buy (without being over silly) would be N'Dombele - this isn't news, but his performances remain impressive and my feelings haven't changed.

Especially considering we lost who our squad describe as our best player in Jan with 0 replacement and he fits the bill as an ideal replacement.

The only thing I would disagree with here is Moura, I reckon he deserves another full season with us. He has shown glimpses of a great player when he is actually played in his correct position.

However regardless of HG quota, I'd prefer us to sign local talent. But that is just my personal preference.

It's a weird one as he hardly ever plays in his correct position which I would say was RWF. It seems we couldn't get a striker at the time within budget and it was seen that Moura potentially had the attributes to do the job, plus the pace asset which was required. I don't know what position he played in as a kid, but feel he has done a very adequate job in this role, considering it is somewhat alien to him. For this alone I feel he deserves a lot of credit and more chance. Think he must of scored 10 goals this year and some very important ones too. The equaliser v Barca was crucial for our season.

I'm still a fan of signing Brandt, Brooks and possibly Grealish but one name rings out to me as a great possible signing and also give us some experience in Midfield. There are noises he is in the way out with a revamp in Barca midfield.

RAKITIC.

True. Rakitic might be on his way out.
