I'd be quite surprised if we got more than £60m for Eriksen after some of his recent performances and with his contract situation very well known.

I am gonna be controversial but Foythhas been great there recently. Not saying he should be our rb but certainly shown he is better than trippier
Perhaps. It's a bit hard to tell given the threadbare state of players such as Trippier. Maybe Foyth (although undoubtedly full of potential) is not so tired and out of form as many others and is perhaps playing with less fear now. The same set of players have been run ragged in too many competitions/games as well as the world cup. It's hard to tell who's knackered, who's just poor and who's knackered and poor.

To be fair the deficiencies in the squad have been apparent since last summer, if not before.

It was very clear in the 2017 fa cup semi final, game was neck and neck and chelsea bring on hazard, costa and fabrigas. Our bench that game:

PSG now going for Van De Beek according to parisunited. So that's another one we can cross off our list. Zidane initiated contact for Ndombele according to their tier 1/2 journos. AS now reporting contacts with Eriksen as well, as we all know. De Jong done deal to Barca. Big clubs secure their transfers before the window has even opened. What scrap will we have left once the window actually opens? Nevermind the fact that we have Levy that does fuck all for the first 2/3 of the window, resulting in panic purchases with the likes of Sissoko and Llorente.

We need width and a driving creative force from midfield. I'd go as far to say that we need a new LB, RB, RW/FWD, CM, AM and a Striker at the least. RB, RW/FWD, CM at the very minimum.

From our current squad the only ones I'd keep are:

Lloris
Gazzaniga

Foyth
Vertonghen
Alderweireld
Sanchez

Winks
Eriksen
Sissoko
Alli

Kane
Son

I'd keep a few others, even if only as versatile squad players (assuming they're OK with that)
- Lucas
- Rose
- Davies (he can also cover CB)
- Dier
- Winks
- KWP

He can be outstanding. But £150m, who knows but £100m tops after some of his outings of late.

He'd be £100m with a full contract left, let alone with one year. I'm assuming £60 or so personally, and I think we'll be lucky to get that with how he's playing (though I recognise he's likely tired and ploughing a lone furrow)

Our lack of transfer strategy and how much work is required in summer, was perfectly summed up by yesterday's match.

I know Kane and Son were out but we were 1 nil down, at home, in the CL semi final to a beatable team (last time we got to this stage was 1962). Our substitutions were Davies and Foyth on. Piss poor.

Talk in a Portuguese paper of us bidding 45m euros for Gedson Fernandes of Benfica. 20, only broken into their first ream this season, and got a Portugal call up soon after. Very much in the mould of Dembele.
Portuguese papers are full of shit.

No Lamela for that game? There's a shock. His impact on us not being able to have another suitable attacker in the squad cannot be understated. He's a cult hero but probably our worst signing in terms of impact in recent years when you factor hype/price and the fact he's essentially the footballing equivalent of a bed blocker

Here goes my semi realistic wishlist.

I would like us to buy young, versatile, dynamic players with the emphasis on home grown.

I'm assuming Vorm, Toby, Eriksen, Llorente, Nkoudou and Janssen are gone.

Wanyama and Lamela are perma-crocked so they can go too.

Trippier and Aurier should bring in decent money and Onomah and CCV don't seem quite good enough.

That's 12 players out.

Promote Whiteman or Austin as 3rd choice keeper.

Bring in AWB and Sessegnon as fast, young, energetic full backs.

I would have Davies and Dier to cover Toby's departure.

Go all out for Havertz as he could partner Winks, Sissoko or Dier imo.

Sign Grealish as competition for Dele.

I would then get Youcef Atal as a wide attacking player but with the option of playing right back too.

Finally I would sign Che Adams as back up striker but with the possibility of partnering Kane or Son.

I would also have Skipp, Edwards, Roles and Parrott in the squad.

4-4-1-1 would be my preferred formation but there is enough flexibility in that squad to play any formation.

All very Football Manager I know but it doesn't seem that far fetched and if we can't get our first choices then there are lots of alternatives available.

GK Lloris, Gazzaniga
DL Rose, Sessegnon
DC Verts, Davies
DC Sanchez, Foyth
DR AWB, KWP
LM Son, Moura
CM Havertz, Dier
CM Sissoko, Winks
RM Atal, Edwards
AM Dele, Grealish
CF Kane, Adams

Yes included Winks and would also keep those you've listed. Just highlighting the ones I'd definitely keep.

Its all over the place today? Never know stranger things have happened

True but with 1 year left of his contract Levy's got to be careful not putting off/provoke the buying clubs and Eriksen/agent too much - otherwise Eriksen simply just run out his contract. Spurs will be happy if they get half of those 150M I reckon. If Real M. offered 80M for him I'd take it.

Apparently that's the case. Real shame as I think he has the ability to step up

I know this ia common knowledge, but we desperately need better fullbacks. The way we setup create lots of dangerous room for our fullbacks, but neither can deliver a final ball to save their lives.

Robertson and TAA have 20 assists between them in the PL alone this season. 20!

Okay, I had a go at being our DoF this summer should Toby & Eriksen leave (based on a 4-3-3)...

GK: Lloris, Gazzaniga, Bunn* (£0)

RB: Wan-Bissaka* (£45m), Walker-Peters**
CB: Sanchez, Foyth
CB: Vertonghen, Kelly* (£10m)
LB: Rose**, Sessegnon* (£20m)

DM: Weigl (£25m), Berge (£15m)
CM: Rabiot (£0), Winks**, Sissoko
AM: Brandt (£23m b/o), Grealish* (£30m)

FW: Son, Brooks* (£40m), Edwards** (new contract)
FW: Dele*, Lucas
CF: Kane**, Kruse (£0)

Loan: Skipp, Amos, Onomah, Roles (new contract), Parrott

Out: Vorm (£0), Alderweireld (£25m), CCV (£8m), Trippier (£20m), Aurier (£17m), Davies (£20m), Wanyama (£10m), Dier (£35m), Eriksen (£70m), GKN (£5m), Lamela (£25m), Llorente (£0), Janssen (£10m)

...and £37m in the black. Daniel would be proud ?

Winks is a fantastic midfielder but it looks as if he may have injury issues long-term, so we have to bring in some genuine competition for his place. And as much as Sissoko has been superb for us this term, I’d still like us to bring in some more technical midfielders who can control possession, but he is more than dynamic enough to cover all those midfield roles. Dier and Davies are players I rate, but they don’t quite fit the type of player profile we require in their positions IMO (also, neither count as HG in the CL).

Also, I believe Foyth will eventually overtake Sanchez. He suits the modern game more with his fantastic technical ability on the ball.

Yeah 9 players coming in during one window sounds realistic...
