It is better to fail aiming high than to succeed aiming low And we of Spurs have set our sights very high.... 1/2
so high in fact that even failure will have in it an echo of glory.... 2/2 I believe. Night all.

I often failed because I was high.

Only 88 minutes into Friday and this is already my candidate for post of the day :ROFLMAO:

Levy has taken a lot of stick for being prudent recently but Jesus, Liverpool are proof that spunking loads of money on flavour of the month players can be a real nightmare! Maybe sometimes we should be careful what we wish for
Yes it is much more effective to nickel and dime everyone for five months and end up doing nothing. That is a much more admirable way to run a football club.

Any other team in the league would think we've done good business. The only major downer is Modric, but what could we do?

Still not over.

No I think they are over-reacting. It's more like they aren't done yet (so obviously they must have collapsed). There will be movement tomorrow (today for us who are already on deadline day). This is it, then we can get back to the actual football!

Can't see Moutinho. If they turned down £39.5m for Hulk, I doubt they'd sell him for less than the buyout (£30m) which we simply cannot afford to risk that amount of money on one player. Especially as his value will start to devalue as soon as we buy him.

Firstly Hulk is happy to stay and Moutinho wants to leave. That is critical because I don't see Porto letting both of their most iconic players leave but if it comes down to one or the other they can keep Hulk and he'll be happy there. If that is the case then they are going to completely price Hulk out of the market but Moutinho might still be available.

They also might think they can get more for Hulk in a season or two, but that Moutinho is getting close to his peak price.
