Crystal Palace? Man that's a come down. Palace are a Category 2 academy, they don't even play in the U18 Premier League.

Is Patterson alongside Skipp the best youngsters from the U16 group? Doesn't he represent Wales at youth level?

not sure about the wales part but yeah he and skipp are the main two. it doesn't mean much at this point though, like with last season's first years it was edwards, sterling, shashoua, tanganga and bennetts getting all the attention but imo george marsh and alfie whiteman are now at the top of the pile(only behind edwards) so it can change quickly. elliot thorpe is an u16 and represents wales so that might be who you were thinking of, although i could be wrong about patterson.

U23s though... maybe they're saying come with us and you'll be signing pro forms in a year having already been an U23 regular.

Its a risky move on his part, there's more leeway for a kid at U18 level. He'll be playing against much bigger, much stronger lads who have more experience. There's more chance to not play and more chances to look bad. If he feels like giving it a go then fair enough.

is Kirby the biggest whore going?

Seems like he's fucked up leaving us

for some reason he seems to be in a rush to get first team football, i don't really know why though as whilst he's shown promise it's not like he's above youth football and is being held back. will be interesting to see where he ends up in comparison to tashan oakley-boothe as they're similar level talents(imo tob is better), one left and one stayed so we'll see who made the right choice in the coming years.

Now it's been rebranded as the EPL2, do we think there is more chance of some of these games being on shown on TV?

It was good to see the Chelsea game last season on Sky. Would love to see these games regularly!

I cant remember who told me, I think ti was a poster on here but he suggested he was going to sign for Chelsea before we effectively vetoed it and complained to the FA

Do you know on what grounds we complained and had the right to veto the move?

I think on the basis of being tapped up also there is informal agreement amongst the top clubs to keep it civil. Now so far that agreement hasnt been broken and no one has stole each others youth players, that changed with Man City this season.

However Im sure we could have said to Chelsea, if you do this we will take some of yours. There are a few in the lower age groups that are very good and all free to move on for peanuts

I don't think we would have a leg to stand on in regards to the agreement between the top clubs, as it's just really a gentlemen's agreement (and Chelsea aren't gentlemen) but if we could prove they tapped him up first then we would could have grounds.

Its good at least one of our teams are keeping the Spursy tradition alive. Our good football and winning ways are driving a lot of our old school support away. They liked it when we were flakey as shit, you knew were you stood in those days.

Thank you, I think you are correct and I was thinking of Thorpe. I gather TOB is our next most talented youngster after Edwards, who himself has followed on from CCV and previously Onomah. Hopefully Skipp/Patterson can follow suit.
