Georgiou had a really good game against Roma. Looked speedy, some good crosses and won the back ball a couple times. What are the youth watchers views on him?

Most seem to think he'll be a good championship or great league one player. He looked good though so i dunno

Definitely didn't harm his chances of playing in the first team with his performance today. Showed a lot of bravery going at the Roma players. Hope we see more of him.

A real example there of what John McDermott would call the whispering talent. I doubt we'll see him the first team picture this season if it all, but it does says a lot for our academy when your unfancied players do that.

TOB is the real quality act for me.Nothing spectacular in the 2 games, but just looks so classy and assured for a 17 yr old .Have a feeling he may be a poch favourite and get fast tracked.

Georgiou was everything we have been missing in the last few seasons pace power, skillful intelligent and showed no fear.

Excellent performance and well worth another chance.

Peres resulted to kicking him and he's one of the better right backs around these days!.

How old is anthony now? For me he done a lot more than KWP or CCV.

Tashan Oakley Boothe - Also a talent was impressed that he had a few tricks in him, but he also still has that little bit of poor decision making in him can remeber a few wayward passes but he seems to have the frame to be a premier league cm be interesting to see how he develops.

Coulthirst got released from Peterborough and signed for Barnet.

He's finding it difficult at the professional level to get goals. He's always been a grafter but he isn't blessed with pace, technique or a goalscorers instincts for movement, positioning or timing. He'll make a very interesting strike partner for big John Akinde if they choose to play them together. One big brute and one little terrier. They won't scare defenders in terms of running in behind them but they'll be a constant pest.

From Hertyid on COYS (ITK is closed and this talks about the academy)

What's the point of an Academy? The whole idea is to develop homegrown players so you don't need to go out and spend money on buying players from other clubs.

Of course it's unlikely you will ever field an XI of homegrown players, but at some point we need to start trusting our kids.

I would be pretty confident in us signing two players this summer, but I would also be pretty confident in us seeing a lot more of the kids this season. CCV, KWP and Onomah will all feature regularly I suspect.

I have been impressed with TOB. He seems different to Onomah (I'm an Onomah fan) and is quicker with his burst of pace and moving his feet (Dembele like with his feints) , I think Onomah is naturally more powerful. Looks like another great talent we are producing.

It was only a cameo but something about Georgiou's performance made my 'here's a proper player' senses start buzzing. Yes, I know that sounds stupid. He reminds me of Iago Falque who I think would have kicked on under a good coaching team like Pochettino and co. We shall see but I want to see more of the lad; at age 20 he may have found the strength and maturity to really break through. He may be another Danny Rose waiting for to be converted into a top class left back.

me too, I've been very impressed with him. he seems to be very disciplined in the role he's asked to play and once he gets more comfortable with the 1st team he will be able to start expressing himself more

typical winger. quick, positive and direct so can be eye-catching on a good day but is otherwise inconsistent and a bit one-dimensional. i think the coaching staff recognised this and moved him to lb to see if he can be more effective there but he's missed so much football through injuries that his development has been constantly stop-start. personally i don't see him making it with us but he has enough that he should have a solid career elsewhere.

At what point does TOB become more of a prospect than Edwards, having only really seen him properly this pre season he seems fantastic for a 17 year old. Could it be argued hes already ahead of Edwards in terms of sheer potential?
