I'm not the most tactically aware so didn't think about the fullback thing. I had noticed it, but I assumed it was Reynolds being drawn into him more natural central role. Though as you say Hinds comes central too but again I thought it was due to his calmness and ease on the ball leading to him picking it up centrally. Plus we also know he has the ability to play CM. However, I guess if they were doing it against instruction they wouldn't be playing much, so must be under instructions.
If so it is good to see Parker trying something out himself
definitely intentional, the movements are too deliberate and consistent for it to just be a case of them finding themselves in those positions. to be fair i don't think it's every game, maybe just when it's hinds and reynolds playing but you can see that whenever we have the ball they go 15 yards infield alongside whoever the deepest cm is. against chelsea i could probably find some clips where reynolds is so far over that he's in hinds' half of the field and vice versa. the shape that day was pretty much this:

eyoma l-foster
hinds bowden reynolds
markanday skipp patterson bennett
parrott
when we lose the ball we fall back into a standard 4231. it's interesting to watch and to try and work out what's going on, i'm not sure it even benefits us to play that way but like you say it's good to see parker trying something different with them.eyoma l-foster
