Austin is by far my favourite youth keeper of the current crop. He might be the best one we've had since Archer. I'm not really sold on any of the others but every time I've seen Austin I've felt like I'm seeing a solid League One keeper at absolute worst.

If you stuck Roles with Eriksen and Lamela either side with Kane up front he would not look out of place but I fear he won't be given that luxury

very reminiscent to kane's transformation a few years back
We can only hope so.

Went to watch us play Barnet last Year and Role was playing CM and he could not cope with the work load and after 50min he was dead on his feet, roll on this season at home to Manchester City and he is finishing the game stronger than the likes of Skipp.

decent performance from the lads. We played some really good one-two football at times, just didnt play enough of it. We came out with a far too defensive mindset, which made it difficult to find an out ball when we were getting pinned back.

Motm: Maghoma, loved how he ran with the ball really opened up the pitch quite a few times. While also being defensively responsible.

honerable mentions: Roles, Eyoma, Hinds, Austin all played their part.

Just knew we’d concede when he took off maghoma. They just strolled through the middle for the goal annoying. I do like Brown and hinds very promising attacking full backs. Eyoma and tanganga are very competent. Maghoma is gonna be a beast. TOB just looks to languid for me you wanna give him a shake to wake up.

Better than Whiteman? And is all the hype around Whiteman justified? Never seen either of them or really any youth player besides for the pre season games so cant really judge. Wish Spurs would stream the youth games on the OS. The club is really missing an opportunity not doing that.

Maybe the clubs protecting them.

I've always felt Whiteman was overrated even back when he was a schoolboy. Way too flappy and positionally poor for my liking. He's lanky and has a good reach which means he looks good making big stretch saves but his fundamentals do not strike me as good enough. Plus his feet have never been anything to write home about. I just don't get the fuss over Whiteman at all.

This statement is very true , I agree that this will probably never happen , but I’m not sure why , when I look at some of the lads being given the opportunity , I struggle to see why he hasn’t . I find it odd that we are scouring clubs far and wide to find a player that has ability to score goals and yet we have one sitting on our door step and we seem to bypass him .
Again the lad was playing in a different position last night and still managed to get on the score sheet, it was such a well executed goal , a lot of our well thought of players would not have scored from that angle . It’s the pure intelligence of his all round game and his versatility that I love . I hope someone in the club notices him before it’s too late

was expecting us to go "full-strength" today but guess a few are being saved with the inter game in mind and the general mass of fixtures we have coming up, good to see others getting a chance though.
