Oh he was always going to go to Citeh. And you're right Levy won't pay that.
Then do we question Poch? Who said we are now looking at top tier players, why bother it Levy isn't prepared to pay the transfer fees or wages to get them

But Mahrez would have improved us massively IMO.
We can only loan out though, right?
Im sure we are looking at top tier players. Im sure we always have however the market has changed considerably. Levy hasn't. He's the problem IMO.

Dele Alli has also come into our side the past 3 years. Is he? He's definitely part of the problem, but how successful has our scouting been for the last few years, and can Levy really be considered fully to blame for all of it?:
Successes:
Davinson Sánchez
Heung-Min Son
Toby
Trippier
Jury still out:
Victor Wanyama - initially great, but questions now
Juan Foyth
Paulo Gazzaniga
Lucas Moura
Bad signing:
Moussa Sissoko
Vincent Janssen
Serge Aurier
Fernando Llorente
Georges-Kevin N'Koudou
Kevin Wimmer
I'm sorry, but over the last three year that's not a great record when you look at some of the players (that were certainly within our price bracket) that others have got.
Admittedly, there are players we've likely missed out on because of our budget, but the players we have bought have had a very mixed track record and Poch (or at the very least the team he works with) has to take some responsibility for that
I thought loans IN was sill possible till the end of the month.
Pool signed Salah, Andy Roberston & Van Dijk just last year.Dele Alli has also come into our side the past 3 years.
Wanna find a team with a better record ?
The €180m (***) that Liverpool have spent this year are all “jury still out”.Pool signed Salah, Andy Roberston & Van Dijk just last year.
It just shows more of what I thought all summer, our strategy had to change this summer as it has been poor ever since we've established ourselves as a champions league team.
Also worth noting that Son, Trippier, Toby & Dele all came in one window which was 3 years ago. The 3 since then have all been disappointments looking in hindsight.

I seriously worry about the ability of our European scouts. Our English based ones seem to be good, but we seem to struggle when it comes to Europe unless it’s a player who plays for Ajax. I know we are supposed to have excellent scouts according to those in the know but I’m yet to be convinced. Our transfer record over the past 3 summer windows is atrocious, whoever's door you lay the blame at

First time poster but long term lurker so take it easy team, the summer debacle combined with the recent stadium news has left me feeling nothing but absolutely gutted and negative for this season currently (yes I know I should be used to it and will get over it!). 40+ years supporter (I’ve seen it all hence do not do knee jerk meltdowns) but I just can’t shake it this time. Getting through last season at Wembley and retaining Top 4 was the biggest hurdle of them all for many years so to then not improve our squad with a single ‘quality’ signing beggars belief on many levels and cannot possibly ever be explained or have been part of a cunning plan irrespective of all the reasons (& excuses) outlined as to possibly why. What I find most interesting (unless I’ve missed it, if so, sorry) hence my post, is that once the post dust deadline day has settled, I’ve not seen any post mortem considered views from any of our wonderful ITK’s, appreciate maybe too sensitive to share hence I get but to go from all the links to nothing just makes no logical sense. If it was simply the usual DL balls up then so be it but if so, Poch cannot possibly be happy / be forgiving / is vulnerable to leave unless DL has made very specific promises to recover this sh$? show..which we’re all led to believe he did earlier in the summer hence would lack credibility with Poch who we know is a man of high integrity.
Maybe Mitchell wasn’t as bad as I thought he was. I still reckon we dropped a bollock by not pushing for Monchi when he left Sevilla.
As for Poch, the jury is still out for me on his player recruitment, he should say the type of player he wants but be the coach and that’s it. That’s what he’s best at.
I wonder if we’ll persevere with our leaving it until the last week tactics next summer or have lessons been learned?
