He can't and that's the problem. Unless he steamrolls Murray from here on in he won't recover in time to do it all again against an even tougher competitor.
Starting to show. He could well have made more unforced errors already than in the whole of the semi final.

He needed that first set.

He's got lucky with a few too, big loopy forehands just dropping in etc. I hope Rog gets this set otherwise it's game over I feel

That was a big rally - Novak getting that one down the line is probably a signal

Definitely. It's all going Djokovic's way today so far. Federer has been poor today so far by his very high standards.

I think Roger's down a notch from yesterday, certainly on the serve, but Djokovic is hitting hard and deep and changing the direction of his shots at greater speed than Andy did. Plus, on the 2 set points in the first he hit two aces. It makes a difference.

But Roger's got to win this set. 2 sets down against Djokovic and there's no coming back.

You just feel that if anyone's going to crack first in a rally or in a game it's Federer.

Djokovic is an unbelievable player but there's something not likeable about him.

Some really scared/defensive tennis being played. Lots of choking from both too on the big points. Makes for an entertaining game, but it's really a step down from what the two have played so far this tournament.

Poor display in the end from Federer, maybe predictable after the heights he reached vs Murray, a big letdown spot. Only the 08 French Open was worse than that.

The worst part was that it looked like he just felt he had better things to do. Never for a moment looked that bothered about the match.
