.. personally i would push boat on Ozil and demand him in madrid deal otherwise no deal.

I'm sure RM would jump at the chance to include him in any deal, but due to the wishes of Ozil, we have no chance on this one. He could take his pick of teams and we wouldn't even be a consideration for him.

Morning all.
Here's your weekend thread.
Yesterday's thread was a bit 'bollocksey' really. It ended up being taken over by wishlisting, guesses over who we might try to sign next, player abilities and formation chat. Most of that shit belongs in the players threads, but we suffered it because of your fragile mental states.
But now it's time to get this thread back on track. So no wishlists, no we need a player who can do this or that and no formation chat. Just the ITK please. I have the keys.
Today's word of the day: Announcements

just a shame not everyone reads this before they get involved. due to my job its a bit dangerous to drive and read at the time, so find myself reading 107 pages so I don't miss anything.

I heard the same. Its obviously happening this weekend guys :(

Was going to happen at some point before the close of the window.

If it is the case, I seriously hope we have everything in place regarding replacements ready as soon as he leaves. Lamela and Eriksen in with Vlad to follow would keep me happy.

Interesting that there has been hardly any ITK on anyone since the Willian debacle, I wonder if we will hear anything for the remainder of the window. Be nice to have some positive news as at the moment all we have is Willian dumping us for the flashy cock with a Ferrari just when we where about to bang, our beloved son Bale wanting to go live with his mother in Madrid and our mail order bride Lamela delayed in Italy for a few more days due to prolonged financial negotiations. I just want a new hot young thing to walk buy and ask to join us for a long drink.

I have to say that I think that even with Lamela, given the failure to sign Willian if we sell Bale we will be a weaker squad Vs last year. The back four will be worse with Rose in for BAE, the midfield will be weaker with Bale replaced by Lamela, only the striker position will be stronger. Reality is, I haven't been thinking of Bale as a Spurs player for weeks. Chelsea, have shat on us from a great height yet again and as per usual the bigger teams are hamstringing us every time we get close.

Still think that unless we get who AVB wants as replacements and who he is genuinely happy with we should not sell Bale, it would be madness and undo all the good work done in the TW thus far.

He's under contract as our player and THFC comes before his wants or needs.

To sell Bale with all of our targets still up in the air would be fucking amateurish. I thought we had learnt some lessons from previous windows.

Levy has gotten this window right so far. I think he might be about to do his obligatory seasonal fuckup.

Somebody have a word.

How will it be weaker?

Adding Soldado to the forward line, adding Capoue (who looks more than capable of matching Sandro), Paulinho and replacing Dempsey with Chadli has already improved the team overall. We have a Holtby who has had his settling in time already to come back. The team last year wasn't great - Bale was great.

Do you honestly think that we are going to just buy Lamela and no one else. We will still get a creative mid before 2nd September and we will still be stronger.

It's kind of getting to the time of night that you really should just neck a few jagerbombs & satisfy yourself with the fat Bird in the corner who's starting to get better looking

Well we are fools if we are allowing this to happen prior to bringing in at least one like for like replacement

I'm really hoping that isn't the case.

What's the betting Roma suddenly start requesting more if it does get announced and Lamela's price completely spirals?

Sums it up for me, though I'm far from convinced we'll be able to sign Lamela.

Really need some positive news to lift the fans and the club in general, after the reality check of the Willian fiasco.
