And he's as subtle as a sledge hammer.

Touch is more miss than hit, and he limits your play to being stuck on the right giving little to a fluid front unit. As a replacement for Bale or to add creativity then no chance, as an upgrade on Lennon possibly. (but at that price...)

Still lacking a clever passer or inventive player in our business so far this season. Not sure if Lamela is that either from the clips I have seen of him.
He's aware, quick thinking and loves a canny reverse ball slid into the danger zone. He's not mouts but he can give us more creativity than we have.

Also, AVB knows this more than anyone (he wanted mouts more than anyone from the get-go), he'll sort it asap.

I think what generally happens is people skim through the thread, pick out names and run with it as Itk. Lets try an experiment......

Just when ever I have seen him out of his comfort zone (RW) against a deep lying defence, he has looked atrocious, with a dreadful touch receiving the ball and dribbling.

And by reverse passes I assume (guessing) it's the standard cutting in from the right and playing in the fullback or a runner across him? pretty much creativity 101. (but then again Lennon is still on 99)

I feel if we cannot get a central creative force then we need natural intuitive movement across the front positions to make us an effective unit. Some of that was apparent against Tiblisi, but maybe that was a case if them being that bad.

I've got faith in AVB to know what components are missing and to get DL to shell out for them, or develop what we have/get in to fill in the spaces.

If, and it is still an if, Willian does sign for Chelsea, maybe it is a slight dose of karma for those of us spurs fans becoming slightly over zealous in the face of liverpools failed Willian bid....it seems apparent the Willian and his team are somewhat lacking morals, we've made done fantastic signings this summer, and still will so some more outstanding business I believe

That's about 30 million more than I'd be prepared to spend for him. Christ, it makes Benzema at £46mil look good.

If Hulk plays for us I doubt Willian will ever get into the national squad now. Sweet, sweet revenge.

What I would settle for now:

A large signing for our creative / attacking midfield player - proven quality.
A defender who can play LB and CB unless we sign both
An attacker to replace Ade/Defoe/Both

I would happy with that, and think we will fair well afterall
