really don't see the appeal with Sturridge , just another defoe for me, decent player but doesn't seem to play with his head up enough, certainly won't improve us imo.
I would prefer Sturridge to Defoe tbh. He certainly isn't my prefered choice but I think he'd be much better suited to 4-3-3 than Defoe. He can play on the right or through the middle. He's also still very young and has time to improve.

At this point of time Sturridge is not available for transfer

Chelsea have even less strikers than us....only him and Torres

I'd hate to get Sturridge, he is the most greedy player ive ever seen, he doesnt seem to understand that football is a team game. That said he does have a decent shot on him!

How on earth is not Mahmmadou Diarra exciting? At Lyon he was one of the best midfielders in the world.
Not the same player any more AND was never an exciting midfielder one of the best DMs around but not exciting.

Somone mentioned Sturridge.

Liverpool enquired and told to come back if/when they bring in a striker next week. With Moses in their more willing to let him go and if can bring in another forward definitely will.

What price, I don't know but I reckon the'd want at least £12m if not more.

No, this can't be right. They're the bestest team in the whole wide world.

Funny, Sturridge himself has told people, but it had already got out for the journos, that a deal for Sturridge to Liverpool very early in the window was quite advanced until RDM blocked it. Sturridge told the person he was speaking to he was happy to move for first team football.

Similar with Walcott until Kenny got his arse kicked out the door.

Both of these snippets came from Jamie Carragher.

I'd just like some clarification on him and AVB - do they get on? Do they loathe each other? Have heard conflicting reports.

My understanding from my colleagues is that they don't get on, but they don't exactly hate each other. Nothing that couldn't be sorted out with a good talk.

The pressure is on Levy to close the deals for the right players. We need more quality. Imagine a season that features Jenas as a regular player...
