If that doesn't make Levy shell out for Moutinho, I expect nothing will!
This. Very much hope alarm bells are ringing and the obvious issues are addressed. Also if 18 attempts on goal with only 1 deflected goal to show for it doesn't suggest the need for another striker then i'm not sure what will.

The pressure is on Levy to close the deals for the right players. We need more quality. Imagine a season that features Jenas as a regular player...
And Defoe's shoot at any cost policy.

Don't get me wrong, I think he is a good player but he is nothing more than a sub for a team with top 6 aspirations

WE NEED A MODRIC REPLACEMENT AND ANOTHER STRIKER

If it takes 30m to get Moutinho then fuckin do it. Modric was our best player no point penny pinching on his replacement

25m for Leandro then fuckin do it

This is what happens when you leave your deals to the last week, you take a massive gamble and hope to scramble through the first 3 games, and even after then it will take a while for new signings to settle. Learnt from past mistakes my arse!

Actually, i'm not too worried about the striker situation. Ade was rusty when he came on - that will improve. We were excellent first half but really needed him on and in good shape. if he was then we could have really made that pressure count. That will come in time.

What was inexcusable was the way we got completely steam-rollered in midfield second half.

that implies they have just sat there and waited for the last week, i doubt this is the case. There are many problems, including the Modric move. Closing deals is complex, they've had time but obviously not enough.. it is, however, a strong point in the case for closing the transfer window before the first game of the season - as it is every season.

do we need to be spending 30mil to improve on players like Jenas and Livermore, or 25mil to improve on defoe, we aim to high and end up falling on our sword, can see it happening again, we will get the bull we tried, blah blah blah but failed

Today highlighted how much we need another striker. What happens if Ade gets a long term injury? I don't want to see Defoe start up front on his own again in a Spurs shirt. Would have thought we'd learned that much from the QPR game last season. Impact sub off the bench or up front with Ade.

Moutinho's become a necessity - or someone of his ilk. Dembele would do me fine personally, need someone comfortable on the ball and can take a man on.

Another winger would be nice, but not entirely necessary - we really do lack craft and intelligence in the final third.

Lloris, M'villa, Dembele, Damaio, and if there is enough cash Niang (he could be the our Drogba/Lukaku in a year or so, need to pick him up while we still can).

Disagree Verts looked very good. There is no other striker as beastly as lukaku

personally I think he also struggled in the US and Valencia thats why he was left out against Newcastle - good technical defender but you need more than that in the PL mores so than any other league. It will take time and hope he gets there

I hate that the window closes August 31st. We start every season with an incomplete squad. We're crying out for a creative midfielder, another big centre forward and ideally another winger.

It's early days in the season so i'm not worried about today's result, I just want our business concluded. It's kind of nice to hear RM say that Willian is getting closer, but several deals seem close at the moment. We need to just get them done now.

AVB learn from your Chelsea mistakes. Too much changes in a short time is not the right way to go.
A good manager should choose the most suitable tactics and play to the team strengths.
Not using square pegs to fit into a round hole (433, Speedy players, high line).
Learn to adapt yourself to Tottenham instead of making the entire Tottenham team become your next Porto style.

No harm trying below:

Gomes;
Walker, Daws (C), Vertonghen, Ekotto;
THudd, Sandro;
Lennon, van der Vaart, Bale;
Ade (Damiao)

For kind considerations.

Yup.

Everyone can see and agree, we need our Modrat replacement and we need him now.
That **** should be playing until sold! Just like Moses played for Wigan vs Chelsea and then Chelsea bought him...

Also i rate Sandro very highly but Parker all day for me in that position. He's much better on the ball. If we buy Moutinho then you play him and Parker along side eachother with Sig or Vdv infront of them in a middle 3.
