I'm not in panic mode just yet, I believe AVB can do a good job, but if we sign no more players in this window, it's on Levy. 100%

In that scenario Levy has big share of blame, however if we don't sign anyone and AVB throws out THudd and continues to field Jake Livermore, it's close to being sackable offense.

really worries me how we play this stupid game every transfer window, where we identify our targets and value them nowhere near what the sellers value them at, but rather than moving on we attempt to wait it out thinking that everyone is desperate to sell/sign for us, simply isn't the case and we are gonna end up losing out big time if this policy isn't rethought, understand working within your means but surely we need to be further onlong with our deals now.

is this some random cryptic? basically saying hes gonna get a cheap option last minute?

Nothing cryptic about it mate. He does this time and time and time again.

We will sign players before the deadline but he has wasted the past 8 weeks. If you no you can't afford a player then stop staring at his tits

However if Hudd had gone to Stoke last week on the understanding another midfielder was coming in, I struggle to see how AVB should shoulder the majority of that blame.

Exactly, €8m is a joke, insulting their intelligence

The £20 bet i had with my mate that Michael Owen will be a Spurs player on Sept 1st is looking quite good now I would say

If we can all see it then why don't the club as apart from vdv this policy has done nothing for us as its wank.

It's a very dangerous game to play; disregarding a valuation completely and almost offering up what many would view as a joke offer.

Anyone who has watched Isco (And granted, I've just watched his Champion's League match against Pantahtathaotnaikaos (sp?) and Mallorca) would see that he's got a shitload of talent. He's young, he's versatile enough to play on the wing, and €8m is just not going to be worth it for Malaga to sell him, financial strife or not.

It's the other one, begins with b.

Agreed. Negotiations aren't about coming right in with what you'd actually pay, you start low for a reason to avoid being squeezed for every penny you have. Selling clubs start high incase they snag a dumb shit who thinks paying the asking price is how you do business.

Fucking hope not don't want that prick anywhere near our team even though by Friday we will be scraping the barrel out again.

Waste of a phone call / email / fax or however offers are made and only serves to rub other chairmen up the wrong way, there has been itk in the past that has suggested some chairmen/agents refuse to deal with Levy now.
