Indeed. Let's take a look at our spending and money received since our last published accounts (June 2011).

Our only outgoing transfer fee (apart from loan fees) last summer was £5m on Parker. This summer we have bought Vertonghen (£9.5m) and Sigurdsson (£7.5m).
TOTAL spent since July 2011: £22m

Meanwhile since last summer we have sold Palacios (£6m), Keane (£3.5m) Crouch (12m), Pav (£7.5m), Corluka (undisclosed but reported to be around £5.5m), Kranky (£5.5m) and Pienaar (£4.5m).
TOTAL fees received since July 2011: £44.5m

And we have shifted more players off the wage bill, than we have brought in. This idea that we have no money is a fallacy.
That all looks positive but unless I've missed something somewhere or we have confirmed investment from other sources surely some of that money could have been put aside for our shiny new stadium or the new 'world class' training facility ?

With regard to JJs suggestion that he might not be in the loop; i've a feeling Levy is probably still in the USA and carrying out dealings from there whereas I imagine JJ to be somewhere in London. Interpreting his recent tweets makes me visualise Levy as a lone transfer gunman out in the wild, only occasionally reporting back to base. As such others may well be closer, particularly if close to agents involved.

I am surprised so many people still believe the things Akayid says. His record speaks for itself. Anticipating and predicting transfer events and gets them wrong most of the time.

Isnt it obvious that Aqkayid has been winding all you up?

Besides JJ poo poos most of his info.

Thank God we have you here to keep us all on the straight and narrow.

According to Levy in a statement not so long ago, capital expenditure such as the stadium and training ground are separate from the transfer budget.

Reading between the lines from what JJ is saying I would say Chelsea are trying to gazump us at the last minute (yet again)

The fact they have let Lukaku go out on loan would suggest to me they are in the market for a striker

Could be the fact that we have had a full change in staff and info could be harder to acquire.Maybe we might even get some new ITK on the scene in the coming season.

True, he was special

I don't believe any ITK 110% but I think Adebayor must be pretty close in this case.
The thing is, something MUST be close....the fact the window is nearing its end means we must be close(ish) to signing a striker or two

We also all have some idea of our targets and or players we have been linked to, so right now pretty much anyone could take a chance on saying we are about to sign Leandro or Adebayor or Remy whatever and have a reasonable chance of that coming to pass sometime between now and the end of the window and later being able to claim it as ITK

I myself could say (based on all I have read before hand) I have heard we are very close to signing Adebayor and I've been told it will be done before the window shuts no problem. As and when it happens I could say "see I was proved right even though it took a while" and then if it doesn't happen I just say "yea my source told me it was just about to happen then Ade/City/Goat moved the goal posts last min"

So there's not really a risk to putting your rep on the line anyway because such statements are kind of education guesses (if you aren't ITK of course) and even if they don't come to pass there's an easy out excuse and anti ITK bashing laws make you exempt from losing credit due to benefit of doubt (unless you become like Adeipf I guess)

Not saying this ITk is a WUM, benefit of the doubt and all that......but to me the fact JJ seems to be unaware of his new itk update suggests he is incorrect at this time

I'm not a supporter of Aqka's information in the slightest - some of it is questionable at best, but I'm not sure he is winding up tbf.

IMO they're after Cavani

With the discussion about Leandro being complicated, is it that 3rd party ownership stuff?
There is no third party ownership, Inter own him outright, his previous club owned a percentage of him until he renewed his contract last year at which point Inter purchased their percentage ownership of him.

oh please not that again (Sandro).

Actually they wanted to keep Sandro for the CL rather than the league, Sandro joined us in the summer, but as we've seen with Oscar leaving, i can't see any reason why they'd want to keep him until Jan now, especially having signed Moura.

How does signing Moura impact on selling Leandro D? They don't play the same position, do they? I thought Moura was an attacking midfielder.
