there was too much pressure on ajax with van basten. believe it or not but people outside amsterdam loathe him.

while jol on the other hand is very much loved throughout the country. when papers write more positive about your club, you as a club will do better.

your fans will react to what they read and back you up instead of being instigated by all the negative news.

i thought he and cruyff and jol were like mortal enemies and that last time ajax were interested cruyff talked them out of it. maybe Cruyff isnt being consulted these days.

it has to be true though its on his wikipedia page lol

fyi spursandbarca..

he was technical manager for ajax in van basten's first year but decided to resign after a row with van basten about ajax youth policy.

cruyff wanted to fire all youth trainers and start all over but van basten was against it, much of ajax current youth trainers are old ex players.

Well done BMJ. That's Sunderland up shit creek. I think Quinn thought he was in the bag, TBH.

This just in, Martin Jol is hated by the ever-sane Ajax fans. Well he will be within the week.

I don't have a link, but even if I did the Mods wouldn't apologize for their douche nozzleness, as they haven't said sorry to the boards resident Dutch expert yet.
