I'm excited and confident.

We're ready in terms of fitness and I think we'll come flying out of the traps under Poch as opposed to the extremely slow starts under AVB - in fact we never really got out of that slow pace under AVB if truth be told.

They're missing Carroll who is absolutely pivotal to the way they play. He gets the best out of Nolan, who's rank average without that partnership, and he's basically the reliable target man than Jarvis and Downing supply to cause havoc in the box.

He's simply a huge miss and their new boy Valencia is no way going to start, way off in the fitness stakes.

If we can't beat at team with Noble and Nolan in its midfield and Carlton Cole up front I'll despair!

I think it will be handsome and a good start for Poch. 3-1 away win.

It's my Birthday Saturday. One would think, therefore, that I have a free reign and can do what i want, eh?!

Think again! No, of course not. I have to do what everyone else thinks i ought to want to do :( Which does not include football.

Spurs have ruined many a birthday..

Lol I feel you may have a really awful Saturday then.

While I agree we are way superior on paper and in reality as the points gap between the 2 teams show I think it's been too short a time to install guts in this squad.

The majority of our current players don't like a fight. And I still think they have in them to give up and play dead.

I'm sure poch will change this but this derby comes too soon. First game of the season. They'll be ultra confident and it will be their world cup final.

I'm hopping the 2 in the middle are Sandro and capoue for this one. Sandro especially if he's fit

I would start Holtby personally because he has impressed the most in pre-season. He looks like one of the players who will benefit most from the high tempo pressing game. I like him in a central two as well, dropping deep and getting things going in midfield.

I really can't wait for the season to begin. The World Cup helped to fill in the gap during the off season but now the real passion begins. Its time to strap in for another Tottenham rollercoaster. COYS!

I feel bad for all you missing the game because of other obligations. Come live in the states, where the games start at 10am and you have the whole rest of the day to do whatever!

On the other hand a 10am start can go a long way to ruining your whole day! Pessimist me? You bet

I'm working with loads of West ham fans. I am going to be really quiet but if we get the win I will be giving it to them with both barrels!.

in terms of fitness I hope so, looking at preseason games it seems like we didn't have as much compared to other teams

Always apprehensive but hopeful.

Not bothered about West Ham as they'll finish the other half of the table to us but guessing they'll be closer to the bottom than we are the top.

But after last season we need a win against them.

I'll be round a mate's with most of my Sunday league team. We're having an opening day barbecue although most of the lads are Norwich fans so it's not quite so for them.

I don't agree mate.

I think we've seen way more appetite from the players already albeit its pre seaosn.

If the work rate is there for most of the game we'll win it.

I've actually got a gut feeling that we'll lose, but I'm not too worried if that happens for several reasons that I can't be bothered to type up right now...

This has probably been asked many times before, but....

Do any of you know any sites which will have the full match recorded? I'll be on a plane at the time of the match so I'd like to be able to watch the full match after it's been played without knowing the score once I land.
