I can never be assed with live streaming on a dodgy sight, most are usually minutes behind, Soccer Sataurday for me. Oh and yeah excited, I think were gonna steam roll them. COYS!

Me, the missus and the little one will be meeting up with another couple for a bbq on Sat, so I wont be watching. Which is maybe a good thing as I have a bit of a bad feeling about it.

Unfortunately, the mate we're meeting up with is a gooner. Luckily he's one of the less smug ones.

15:00 KICK OFF - UPTON PARK

A very rare Saturday 3pm kick-off for Spurs. I should be a little nervous considering West Ham did the triple over us last season, but I actually feel quite confident, even though we're away from home. We've had a fairly decent pre-season and although the World Cup has made it difficult for a lot of our more distinguished players to be integrated into the team, we should still be able to put West Ham to the sword. Saying that, I did think the same on 3 separate occasions last season, too

How you feeling? Excited? Nervous? Lacking enthusiasm?

Shouldn't you be resurrecting the Soundclash???

Haha... you should rename this thread... "Reasons my girlfriend won't let me watch the game on Saturday."

Mine's working, have the house to myself. Punched the air when she told me. Didn't go down well.

I had the reverse issue last night.
Wife wanted to listen to Cambridge v Birmingham commentary and it wouldn't play properly on her laptop, so she took mine over.
I sat their completely lost at not having my laptop.

As for Saturday - seem to think my son has eye test at 2pm..... not clever planning!

I'm all in. Gf is supportive of my spurs watching. Many times last season I wanted her to have a problem with me going/watching - but didn't and had to suffer.

I don't care about this game or any others. I'm going to be clearing out the window box and putting up some shelves and I won't even bother to listen to the radio because I'm not that bothered about beating West Ham, or the fact they've done us over the last three times, they're a nice friendly lot after all, and I know they really love us.

I really am the most dreadful liar :p

I believe true evil really does exist and it lives in E13. The dildo brothers and Miss Piggy, residing over a bunch of knuckle dragging neanderthals on care-in-the-community.

I hope we destroy them. I hope we break their hearts and shatter their spirit again, just like we did when Stalteri slid that one in right at the death a few years back. I shizzled my pants when that went in.

I won't rest until they relegated, so I'm going to enjoy watching them this season

Although it is old wine in new bottle, but this time it is properly aged by a master and so should taste differently. We'll win by 2 goals.

For some strange reason I've gone the past 3-4 weeks convinced that this was the Monday night game, WTF. I really don't know why........i was sure it had been moved. I've been gearing myself up to get through the weekend without spurs, do a days work Monday then get home and put myself through it.

Anyways, those that know me on here know that this is the game i hate with a distinct passion. For lots of reasons. I can't even bear watching it most of the time. Saturday will be the same.

Getting excited :playful:

However normal service is resuming with me in that Im becoming less and less confident as the kick off approaches

Just think its a bloody cert that we go through pre season unbeaten and West Ham failed to register a single win (beating Schalke on pens doesnt count!) they will get their win on Sat. We all know pre season results count for virtually nothing - I think the year of the infamous 2pts from 8 games season we won all of our pre season games!

Nah tough to call, really intrigued to see who starts for us though, bring it on!

COYS!

Unfortunately my sister is coming to visit this weekend, so I'm likely to miss the whole football thing on saturday.

Think im gunna try and get a last minute v festival ticket, so I can take my mind of it.
Don't bother with a ticket, just go down and walk in. I've done it a few years now, but now it's crap so I don't even go when it's free

My flat mate's (when I had the flag on the balcony) sister walked down one year and bought a VIP band for £5...

It's my Birthday Saturday. One would think, therefore, that I have a free reign and can do what i want, eh?!

Think again! No, of course not. I have to do what everyone else thinks i ought to want to do :( Which does not include football.

I'm finding it difficult to concentrate at work, as i'm so buzzing for this! I'm going to the game, and hoping (praying) we smash the pikeys after last seasons results.

Plus I've only ever seen us win at Upton Park, so hoping that stays the same come Saturday afternoon! COYS!

Well, my other half is out for the day so I managed to get a ticket (y)

Fingers crossed it won't be as bad as last season...that was a one off surely!? :banghead: But I'm looking forward to it, not been to their ground for a few years so great to see Poch's new Spurs era kick off with a great performance!
