This is my first ever post. So, to give some perspective to my comments, I have supported my beloved Spurs since 1958, probably a longer time period than most contributors on this excellent site. I have seen many poor performances and results equally as bad as today. However, I cannot remember a manager so intransigent in his ways. What needs to be tried is obvious to most true supporters, and the changes necessary have been repeated often enough on this site. I have never belonged to the "get rid of our manager" campaigns. We must accept that all involved with the team do their very best. However, ALL must accept a share of the current lacklustre displays. I can only hope that we at least return to playing the 'Spurs way'. ( Yes, it does exist! ) It was Martin Luther King who said “We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope.” Yes, give AVB and his staff more time, BUT, if our playing style does not improve, I hope that AVB will be man enough to give another manager the opportunity to manage our beloved team. Failure is no longer an option. We need to move on from always mentioning our glorious past, and give our young supporters a future where they can taste the joys of watching football as it should be played. It was the great Pele who said "Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do". COYS
