A few of us have been calling for this in a few threads, if it is to happen with 20-30 minutes left, then surely the line-up in the opening post is a little too reserved! If we're going to start with 3 at the back, I fully expect it to be nicdic's formation, however if it's a plan B so to speak, I expect it to look more like:
Gomes
Gallas Dawson Kaboul
Huddlestone...... Modric
Lennon .......van der Vaart ..........Bale
Pavlyuchenko.... Defoe
plan b? 'arry doesn't know what that word means!
Seriously?
I guess you would rather go back to Ramos, who was praised for his ability to change a few games with his so called plan B, but who by and large screwed up plan A?!
I would take this so called lack of Plan B any day if it continues to challenge the top 4 and get us CL football.
R.
Pisch...stick Kaboul up front and tell him to play just like Drogba.
Nah, not really...but you never know.
Tactical Genius.
VegasII in Harry out!!!
haha! I'd be a bloody disaster....

In fact Ramos' record as a manager is far more impressive than Harry's. Ramos' let down was his lack of communication skills (pretty vital when your strength is tactics) and the sale of his two main strikers in Berbatov and Keane, six month after he let Defoe go in preference for the Keane Berba partnership.
When Ramos took over we had something like 7 points from 11 games and were third from bottom (not a hell of a lot better than (2 from 8).
We then went on a run of 15 games in which we scored 30 points. During that period we also got to the last 16 of the UEFA cup losing on penalties to PSV and won the Carling Cup thus securing European competition for another year.
At that point the team seemed to lose all motivation (Ramos' fault, but also to do with having nothing left to play for.). Then that summer, as I say we lost our two main strikers.
After that he got 8 more games and then was sacked and forever more he'll be known as a shit manager.
Like I say though, his record trumps Harry's. He won back-to-back UEFA Cups with Sevilla, then he got them in CL and only lost La Liga on the last day of the season. He also won the Copa Del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup. He came to England and won the League Cup in his first season. Then got sacked.
Redknapp on the other hand joined Bournemouth in '83, after a couple of seasons he got them promoted from the old third division and then relegated back down to it before quitting after 8 years in 1991.
He then Cuckoo'd Billy Bonds out of his managers job (I wonder why Harry's always so paranoid about the chairman picking his assistants?) at West Ham and then in 8 years at the club managed a highest finish of 5th, before getting sacked for publicly dissing his chairman.
He went to Portsmouth as DoF before cuckooing Graham Rix out of a job and taking over as manager (no DoF for Harry of course; he knew exactly how the two-faced f*ckers get whispering in the Chairman's ear). He got Portsmouth promoted to the PL and then resigned when the Chairman appointed a DoF over his head.
He then goes to hated rivals Southampton, gets them relegated for the first time in 27 years and quits when he doesn't like the DoF appointed by the Chairman.
He returns to Portsmouth, along with his Chairman, he spends millions on player wages (up to 100% of turnover) and buys some top-class players with whom he wins the FA Cup. He leaves Portsmouth to join us and the club goes bust.
He comes into Spurs with us only having got 2 points from 8 games, ensures we stay in the Premier League. The next year he qualifies us for the CL for the first time in our history. The following year we thrash Real Madrid 7-2 in the second leg of the CL QF to get into the SF and we're still in the hunt for fourth.
Anyway, the main point is that Harry's career has not been stella, apart from getting us to fourth when arguably we were the fourth best team in the league, he hasn't really done a lot, not when compared to someone like Ramos.
Because we look at everything from a Spurs-centric POV though, Harry will always be thought of something close to World-Class while Ramos as little short of a joke.

And Ramos`s record since he left Spurs.........?

Roni would love it. not gonna happen, guarantee it 100% guvAccording to Agnes on FTL apparently we have been working on a formation with three at the back for tomorrow night.
Could be interesting...
Gomes
Gallas Dawson Kaboul
Sandro
Lennon Huddlestone Modric Bale
VDV
Pavlyuchenko
Not great.
Team / Played / Won / Drawn / Lost
RMad / 27 / 18 / 1 / 8
CSKA / 9 / 4 / 1 / 4
Dnipro / 14 / 7 / 5 / 2
More like Harry's record I suppose
Team / Played / Won / Drawn / Lost
BMth / 457 / 180 / 107 / 170
WHam / 327 / 121 / 85 / 121
PMth / 116 / 54 / 26 / 36
SthH / 49 / 13 / 21 / 15
PMth / 128 / 54 / 29 / 45
Spurs / 137 / 68 / 34 /35
Harry's win career win rate is 40.36%
Ramos' is 42.84%
For comparative purposes:
Moyes 43.88%
Pardew 43.36%
Curbishley 38.3%
Allardyce 40.08%
You could also say :
Redknapp honours :
Div Three Champions
League Trophy winner
Intertoto Winner
Div One Champion
FA Cup Winner
League Cup Runner Up
Not too bad considering the sides he was managing. The only job he was utterly shite at was Soton and whilst his career win % is less than Ramos, it's 49.64% at Spurs, Ramos was 38.89%.
The whole "Portsmouth go bust" thing is irritating to be honest. He didn't hold a gun to the chairmans head, he didn't draw up the contracts.
"Anyway, the main point is that Harry's career has not been stella, apart from getting us to fourth when arguably we were the fourth best team in the league, he hasn't really done a lot, not when compared to someone like Ramos."
Disingenuos to say the least. Ramos did great at Seville and either as you would expect or shit elsewhere. Redknapp took over when we were anything but the 4th best team in the league and actually got us there. If he bought well along the way or got under performing players to perform than that's down to him. He didn't just wander into a team that any fool could get to 4th. You could argue that Redknapp did well at Pompey and if he manages to get us 4th again then great at Spurs.
Not saying he is "World Class" but just adding a bit of perspective that seemed to be missing. Given that Ramos has gone from the heights of Seville, Spurs and Madrid to a Ukrainian side nobody can spell in around 2.5 years it would be pushing it say he was either.
I love Stats:clap:
Fuck it, lets get Pardew in then:shrug:
