Isn't the level that we all want for Spurs to win every game? I'd have thought every manager doesn't reach that level so I say we should go with no manager. Just pick the team out of a hat each week.

No no. I dont expect the manager to be able to win every game. I'm not an unreasonable person. I would like someone who knows if his players are fit though and someone capable of realising Jenas is not very good and maybe buying a couple of strikers who can score goals. Plus it would be nice if he didnt select players who are injured. I'm thinking King. And a plan b would be nice.

A team that is capable of winning the prem, facup and cl would be a pre requisite of course but they dont have to win every game.

Not sure the hat thing would work in practice but what we have now isnt working so I'm willing to give it a try.

Yes....Harry has gone as far as he can....although don't rule out a miracle 'come back' at The Lane....unlikely but still a possibility....However Harry showed, last night, all that is bad in the English knowledge of the beautiful game...and how current England player managed to destroy a clubs dreams of long overdue success! If it were up to me I would have his knees removed and his brain pickled (oooops, perhaps it has already been done, pre-match?).
It has been mentioned (probably a lie) that Sir Jose De Marinho is showing an interest in being Harry successor....but Real - THFC......not much of a chance...although.....never say never...and no need to remind you of Jose's record....with or without a 3rd CL success (and perhaps Harry can turn it around in the 2nd leg...and 'walk on water'?). COYS!

What a silly thread. Sure, questions have to be asked of Harry in terms of team selection (why did Defoe play last night?) and transfer skills (re: the obvious), but to call for his sacking because we lose with 10 men against the biggest team in Europe is hardly justified. In fact it's crazy.

I'd like to ask MattC who he proposes to bring in to replace Harry to has a realistic chance of bettering what Harry has done thus far?

Ok but Harry had been making these decisions for a while, the better part of this year, and we haven't been scoring the number of goals we should be which to me says we don't practice teamwork in training. In training you've got to practice creative ways of scoring goals, I'm not so sure we're doing that.

I'm willing to give 'Arry the benefit of the doubt and say he hasn't lost the plot or anything but his mind is somewhere else at the moment, maybe on his court case, the England management, or maybe something none of us even know about. It is quite strange though.

But knowing that Harry will be off sooner rather than later, what do we do this summer? Surely we've got to look at our options, possibly with Mourinho and see if he's open to coming here. Other possibilities would be Hiddink, Van Gaal, or Owen Coyle. Personally I think Coyle will become the best manager out of the three, and he would keep us playing attacking football.

Maybe if we keep Harry we need to get another DoF in who discovers new talent/ identifies transfer targets.

Harry did brilliantly last season. He's done well in the CL this season - QFs at the first attempt is maybe more than many expected. In the league and in the transfer window though, mistakes have been made.

Yes, I know it's not easy and I'm not saying it is but that's why he gets paid a fair wedge. He's not washing dishes. So, that said, these mistakes must be rectified this summer. Be it a shake-up of the coaching staff under Harry or in the transfer market or both.

If the mistakes made this season are repeated next season then give him the elbow as learning from mistakes is obviously needed at the level we all hope the club can attain. If they aren't repeated, where's the problem? We'll have progressed, everyone is wiser and stronger etc.

Hmm I'm unsure I personally thunk he's took is far as he can and his effect On our teams worn off I also think were no longer a happy squad

I'm with you on this.

I also think his transfer policy has hindered us this season and will seriously hinder us next season unless he changes his attitude this summer.

Trouble is who do you bring in?

I'd have said Hodgson before he joined West Brom and obviously Mourinho would be ideal - but i can't see either being available this summer.

Harry guided us to the top 4 last season and this season the battle for top 4 will also go right down to the wire with us competing against teams run by big spending sugar daddies. All teams have slumps

ah fuck it I was gonna try and reason with you idiots but wtf it never ceases to amaze me the ammount of absolute retards you come across on internet footy forums I'm off have fun being thick as pig shit

Top 4 is far from right down to the wire based on where we are right now, a better expression would be that we are barely hanging on to the chance of finishing in the top 4.

Yes all teams have slumps, and Chelsea and City have had theirs this season and our still above us.

The point is that to progress from where we are now we need to decide if Harry is the right man for the job or not.

Personally i think he is, but there is something going on with a) his man management at the moment and b) his lack of commitment in the transfer market in the last 12 months or so.

Just curious, how long do people think our string of draws and defeats can continue before we can criticize 'Arry for it?

What if we don't win another game for the rest of the season, then will people rethink what they are saying?

Please dont even say that out loud. Please.
Well indeed. The thought of Sandro, Modders and Hudd being jettisoned for a midfield two of Jenas and Palacios doesn't fill me with warmth.

Certainly I expect an marked upturn in performance and results in the last 8 games now the CL campaign looks all but over. If that happens then fair enough. If the malaise continues and the season slowly crawls over the line without an upturn of performances then yeah, I'll rethink what I'm saying.

These last few weeks have been very disappointing and now that the CL jaunt looks finished I expect everyone to show some steel and at least fight it out for the last 8 games. There aren't any more excuses. If they don't then there are problems, imo.

You utter fucktard. The amount of money he has spent demands a minimum of top 4!! So scum have a sugar daddy? No. So manure have a sugar daddy? No. In fact the opposite. They are being raped by their owners.

We shouldn't be thinking about sacking Redknapp, that would be crazy.

However...

Our run of form is unacceptably bad. Appalling. Redknapp does not seem to even acknowledge this. Even our recent wins have been luckily scraped (2-1 v Bolton, Sunderland). Why is he pretending everything is fine?

I know. Just putting a name out there as a potential manager - and he would definitely be considered by Levy imo - were Harry to go.

Not a fan of his management philosophy of sticking in 8 DMs at home against even league 2 sides.

He also spends money like it's going out of fashion on complete and utter shite largely. He'd bring in a few diamonds but man, such a lot of dross to go with them. Not sure he'd be given close to to £20m to buy the likes of Glen Johnson or some random Italian CM who never sees the light of day and is promtly loaned out to Juve to be sold for £5m. We just don't have the extra £100m to waste every yr that Pool have.
