Soooo, if we're interested in this guy and Willian and Lamela etc...not looking good for Townsend at this point. Or Azza. Maybe even throw in Gylfi.

No, both are not true. For me, he has a natural talent. Great pass, great crosses, great control of the ball, great vision of the game, outstanding long shot whith the left foot. Great vision of the game. And very good goalscorer. He improved a lot, his plaing whith the right foot, and that`s why he can play in both wings, and behind the striker. His mental skill are also good. He is guy for big matches...unusual for youngster, but you know, that you can count on him in a derbies.

Of course he has some weak sides. First and main is that he need physical training (stamina, speed, and ect.) if he wants to play in Premier League. He made a great progress in the last few months, but still need more. The second one is his lack of defence skills. And that is why he is not playing in his favorite position- behind the striker. Anyway, if you sign whith him, you will make a good deal.

Thanks for the info our Bulgarian friends.

So yeah, I'd expect 2 of Townsend, Gylfi and maybe Azza to leave at this point. That could change if we don't get both Willian and Lamela but kinell otherwise, we'd be bloated with attacking players and AVB is looking for a smaller group to make up the senior players in the squad.

I'll be sad to see Lennon go and I don't (hope) see this happening. Gylfi? £8m Townsend?£6m + wages????? not sure.

How you coping with this TW? - mind blowing.......

I don't get why we're looking to sign this guy. He plays in a league one level league so would be quite an ask for him to step up to the prem. We've already got Townsend & Azza as back up wingers who are perfectly decent for Europa and Carling (or whatever it's called this season) Cup games. I say keep the money for a CB/LB

Exclusive: Tottenham, incoming Nedelev

20.08.2013, 16.46 - Read related articles

An input for Tottenham that is now to complete the deal Bale with Real Madrid. E 'in the pipeline a deal with Botev Plovdiv, Bulgarian club, the winger Todor Nedelev, class of 1993. In his first season as a starter Nedelev did very well: 9 goals and 13 assists in 29 games. Operation cost slightly more than two million, we are almost on the home straight.

It's a hell of a ride. It's a great window right now. Could become a bit of a nightmare if Bale goes and we flub the replacements. Could become the single best window this club has ever experienced by lightyrs. All to play for.

Agree with you about Azza. Maybe he'd be happy to be a squad player and part of the rotation. Maybe he'd want to move on and be a regular starter as he's been his whole career. If he does go though I'll drink to him. You'd have to think that Townsend and Gylfi would be the better candidates to move on though.

I just read some quotes by Botev's(This is the club of Nedelev) sort of DOF. He says that the the conversation his club held with Spurs was last Thursday and claims Tottenham have a big interest in Nedelev. He also said that Spurs have checked about the working permit - it won't be a problem.

I found the ITK about Nedevel today interesting. I really wonder when was it posted - before, or after the story broke out (2 days ago).

It nice quiet in here. Rest of the place is bloody mad house. Did you see the latest ITK from the Goat? unbelievable.

Azza is only 26 and needs an under study so Townsend may stay and be the 'right wing department'.

Gylfi his legs are on the wrong way round......when pointing the right direct he's OK. To Liverpool? get him a nice flat in Dingle...:(

OK, I am officially tumescent.

We get those 2 and Bale stays - then, erm. Um. I feel like I'm about to have a seizure over here. Even if Bale goes and we get those 2 in and another striker. Lawdy lawd. Oh Lawdy. I feel like simultaneously kissing and punching everyone in the building right now. Yep, I'm having an episode of some kind right now.

Buying youngsters has got where we are today.

If we stop buying talent and only buy £15m plus players Ill be fooking disappointed.

Edit: Bold only :)

Nedelev by Todor Botev (Plovdiv) is close to a sensational move to Tottenham , says "Work." deal is "baked" at a price of 5,000,000 liras (€ 5.87 million) and will record in history for a player sold from home " A "group. Rubber-stamped by the Bulgarian club negotiate two days in London and reached a verbal agreement. Waiting to finalize the transfer of documents. During this summer Nedelev name has been linked with a move more in the direction of Bremen (Bremen) , Besiktas, Rostov and Leeds, but it seems now the interest of Tottenham is the most real and the chance to get to transaction is the greatest. "Trud"

:wacky: Kinda get what you're saying and our yoof products will hopefully be the squad replacements in future yrs and maybe grow into regular first teamers but as far as new signings go - first team signings, I'll never ever be disappointed with a £15m player.

As an australian asking, how would that affect our homegrown quota, or whatever its called? Already caulker, parker, hudd and then two more. Not sure what the quota is.

Players under 21 don't count, so it wouldn't affect it yet.

Lets be honest if we sign him there is no way he will be a first team player, he will go in the development squad or on loan

You need to have 8 players in a squad of 25 who have played 3 full seasons or 36 months before their 21st birthday at an English (or Cardiff or Swansea) club. Essentially you can't have more than 17 players who are over the age of 21 and foreign scum is what the rule is. After that, none of their bisniz.

Currently we have 14 and that includes Brad. If Ade and Benny are sold, we'd have 12 so room for 5 more. :)
