After these three defeat, we have finally realized the importance of lennon
defensively, providing cover for RB, just as the last tackle in our match in San siro
In attack, Now Bale moves to center area quite often, consequently we lack pace and width to make our attack fluently. And we don't have any cover for lennon, AVB knows this, and he gambles by using BAE as a winger

If Lennon cannot be fit for our remaining season, I don't see that we have any chances to earn a CL spot and reach the final of Europa League

Somebody in twitter says that lennon would be ok against swansea

Skysports :

"Lennon won't be able to make it," Villas-Boas said.
"He has been struggling a lot with injuries. We risked him the other day against Inter Milan and he is on the brink of rupturing his muscle so we have decided to take him out of this game. He has groin and hamstring (injuries)."
On Dawson, Villas-Boas added: "He felt his (hamstring) muscle going in the first half.
"If we had brought him on in the second half we would be risking him a major injury.
"I think Michael will be assessed by the England team doctors, they will be in communication with our medical department to find out if he will make it or not. He probably won't, but it's something that they have to decide between them."

Lennon is very important to our style of play both in an attacking sense and also the great work he does tracking back.

With him out teams can surround bale as they don't have to worry about the pace of Lennon on the right side. This also makes it harder for bale and hence slows our attacking play down.

Furthermore, none of our other players are chipping in with individual match winning performances at the moment plus we have had a very tough week culminating in today's inept performance

Usually I hate international break, but this time this break may be a very good chance for us to re-group.
Lennon and Dawson withdrawal of national team is very good for us, they should be ok two weeks later.

Everybody knew how important he was. All 3 of Liverpools goals came from attacks down the left. Lennon does an enormous amount of defensive work. And his pace is also an out ball that relieves pressure.

With Bale more static playing in the hole, taking Lennon out of the side means we lose most of our creativity. We should really have some backup.

I open this thread because I confess that I thought that Lennon was one the weakest link in our team last year. Width and Pace are our most powerful weapon. And Lennon's importance shows in here

We are desperate for a winger at the moment to provide the width, I thought we may see walker or Naughton today at RM but was shocked to see benny in midfield, Benny has never been great at attacking unless he is joining a attack which he cant do if he is one vs one against a full back tbh

We have to move bale on the left if Lennon isnt back yet

There is a great case for Walker playing on the right today, i know he is flimsy going forward at times but today we really did need someone taking their full back on, distracting and pulling defenders out of shape with pace..
