Torres is too much of a risk.

Let's hope we can put a package together to buy Ade.

I'd rather we looked at paying whatever 'reasonable' price we can get Cahill for, instead.

I can see them offering him in a swap for Modric.

Personally I think he just needs a few games, it's no surprise he doesn't score if he never plays.

He was playing very well the 2 or 3 games before he got sent off, Then AVB never started him after he served the 3 match ban. Would be very good for us, But its a silly topic really because it will never happen. imo. EVER.

Yes he would suit or style of play but he hasn't had more than two consecutive good games in about 3 seasons. Perhaps we could staple him to Lennon and get him to stick out a leg as the ball comes by

Yep, give him a run of 3 or 4 games and he will start to score again, especially now they've got Mata. Can't believe AVB didn't play him against Liverpool, I'm sure he would have put in a performance if he'd had more than just ten minutes.

That ABV is a strange one.

What sort of cash is he on? I'd gamble on him if possible. He's one of the best strikers in the world and I don't think he's finished yet.

We would get adebayor for 10 mill.. we wouldbe better placed to pay 10 mill forhim and use the other 10 mill to pay him in bonus's to get an agreement on wages and not break the wage structure.... Adebayor is the player we need, torres, is a upgrade on darren bent

Torres has issues no doubt, but a player doesn't lose ability in a few season not at his age. You only have to take a look at his body language and his facial expression. It's all in his head. Sort his head out, with a move back to Spain and the guy will be back he simply doesn't look happy.

I agree, and although I think it's highly unlikely that we will make a move for him I think that Spurs could nurse him back. With the quality supply he'd get playing for us, and helped by Harrys ability to bring the best out in players he could easily be a 20+ goals striker in our team.

Ade needs to score more from the chances he gets! Everything else about his game is very good. Given a choice between ade and torres and torres everytime for me.

Daily Mail's Neil Ashton running it also

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...es-sale-Chelsea-20m-January-flop-striker.html

Chelsea will listen to offers for £50million flop Fernando Torres in next month's transfer window.

The £150,000-a-week striker has scored just three Barclays Premier League goals since his move to Stamford Bridge from Liverpool on January 31.

Chelsea considered sending him on loan to rebuild his shattered confidence, but they are now prepared to sell.

I'd take him in a heartbeat.

'Arry's made a career out of taking former world-class players and restoring them to their best form. Why can't we do it with 'Nando?

I have no doubt he would get more chances here than with Chelsea and it could fire him to Euro 2012. Because as things stand atm he's not going IMO.

Isnt going to happen, and personally think his time in the prem has come to an end.
After his injuries, he hasn't been the same player, a slower paced league is what he needs right now to get his form and confidence back.
He will either go back to Spain, or Italy.

Not that I think there's much chance of it happening but yeah, i'd take him. I reckon we're exactly what he needs. Obviously at some point one of the tabloid hacks will dream up a scenario where we take Torres in some sort of deal with Modric moving the other way. Especially now i've said it :)

I expect this to be in the news by tomorrow if the reports that Chelsea will entertain offers for him are true. Not that the journalists will bother checking the latter anyway.

"Tottenham to swap Luka Modric + £20 million for Fernando Torres in january"

There, I even made them a headline. I expect royalties.
