Good to see no one picked up an injury, otherwise I imagine this was just a walk through the park (possibly literally)

What nobody has mentioned is that Tavernes left all their best players out.

Some people on here are thick as shit.

OMG Bent didn't score against a pub team in 45 minutes....neither did Berba or Keane.

Get a grip, its preseason, fitness comes before goals at the moment!

Also the team linking together, its pre season with new players, probably new set ups with Ramos in charge from the start, time for them to learn eachothers games, strenghts and how to interlink with eachother

Dude, you been spending too much time in Transfer Rumours?

It was only a lighthearted observation. Would be interested to see the goals though, especially Dos Santos. It seems he is impressing already.

So that explains why we're after Bentley, but we're also keeping Lennon. Bentley to cross for Lennon. Genius.

Lotsa tap ins. Spurs sounded like they walked the ball into the net. Which is a great sign of a solid heads up passing game.

Too early to cause dreams to become reality....but who cares about that? We are 'off and running' EVEN if we are under threat of loosing some of our better players (to a team who we should always be prepared to furnish WC players to....'We are not worthy'! Bullshot I hear you say....or maybe I am just hearing myself think? I do not support 'cheap' or 'pathetic' teams, like MUFNT...so I do not expect MY Club Principals to do anything to aid or abet any competitor teams...in UK of anywhere in World Football....end of. I will always be a Yid....but I will not support a club official that 'fails me' OR my beloved club. Are we 'totally' clear Levi? I trust you but you are in trial, just as much as any other Yid....Tread carefully COYS! That said I am still looking forwartd to this season!

when you say lots, you mean 2 or 3 right?!

The young Czech striker bagged his first goals at senior level with a double in Monday night's 8-0 friendly win against local side Tavernes, our first match action of pre-season.
They were impressive finishes as well - the first a left-foot drive into the top corner from the edge of the box, the second swept home with his right foot from 10 yards.

Gio, playing wide left, entered the action as part of the second half XI and didn't take long to open his account - just over eight minutes.
Sent away down his flank, he cut into the box, saw that the home keeper had inched off his line anticipating a cross and caught him out by drilling the ball home at the near post.
His second goal wasn't far away, a routine finish from close range as we went on to register a comfortable win

so thats 1 in 4 so far

via the head of Aaron Lennon, who powered home John Bostock's cross.

no idea about that one

Pekhart into the box, left side, squared for Malbranque who slotted home from 12 yards. 6-0.

Townsend found O'Hara who drove past a couple of defenders before finishing from a central position into the corner. 7-0.

Goal of the night - we kept possession for a spell before O'Hara curled into the top corner from 20 yards. 8-0.

Sounds like most of they are well worked and taken goals, not tap ins really

Isn't Taverna, Spanish for 'pub' ...

[No it's not, but that would be funny]

[Actually, it wouldn't]
