Second part of the interview as reported at http://www.theguardian.com/football...debayor-tottenham-crowd-white-hart-lane-stoke is much more interesting re: Poch:
“He’s a good manager and we just have to find a way so that we can try to understand what he wants to tell us and how he wants us to play and put that on the pitch. If every player could do what the manager wants then we would win the Champions League. But at the moment we are not getting the message. To me, he is a good manager and a good man – we just have to get what he is telling us. “We have to get used to him. He is the new manager and it is tough. Tactically, he is working hard, he is trying to make us understand what the opponents will try to do and what we have to do to score goals and win the games. But at the moment there is a blockage somewhere. Hopefully we can overcome that. Football is a funny game. You play one game and score one goal and everybody says: ‘Hey, things have changed for you."
But at the moment we are not getting the message. To me, he is a good manager and a good man – we just have to get what he is telling us.
Didn't seem to have a problem at southampton and all the players showered him with love and praise and didn't want him to go.Ade is being a bit clev
Quite clever their from Ade. Talk about a back-handed compliment.
That doesn't sound like a very good manager at all if he can convey his ideas appropriately.
Didn't seem to have a problem at southampton and all the players showered him with love and praise and didn't want him to go.
I think it just might have something to do with our players.
Yes yes yes, the pitch is too small, the fans are scary, the climate is cold.
I say just fuck 'em off and bring in players he targets that he knows will have a clue. You can bring a horse to water but you can't make him drink! That's the horses job.
Our players have the inability to take in what poch is saying, they need to learn and learn dam quick!
If we are going to play that game, this quote stands out to me:the most interesting quote for me in the whole interview was in the Guardian one,
"Obviously all managers bring their own philosophies, the way they see football, the way they see games and everything. but this is the third or fourth manager in two or three years so we have to stop it just being about the manager."
At least he is admitting that the players are responsible for this shower we are getting served up as well. Strangely honest and open interview IMO and most of what he said makes some sense.

So Pochettino is a bad communicator.
