Thank you for your thoroughly considered and explained opinion

Cool, get wound up by trolls then who are just saying anything to get you riled up. Whatever suits.
I tend not to get too wound up, I tend to ask them why they try so hard.

Anyway, bottling is losing something from in front so the context or notion in the terms you placed it in have no baring whatsoever.

Fans eh?

Just to cheer you up if we beat Brighton we are still top of PL since Xmas. And really should win our last 5 which should imo put us above Liverpool considering they still have to go to Chelsea and CL commitments. Right now unfortunately City are the one team we still look a bit scared of Hopefully next season we can put that to bed.

Eriksen, lamela , ali and kane - these 4 together wont work that is for sure

Definitely this against quality opponents that you need to counter on. You have to play that pacey player like Son or moura. Those 4 together just make us to laboured and predictable.

When was the last time kane score goal against top 3 team ?
You have to be joking !!! Let's put this into perspective, he's only just come back from an injury, it was only his second full game back bar 15 mins against Chelsea, he scored a penalty the last time he played a top 3 side when we played at Anfield earlier in 2018. If he scores in the semis against Man Utd next week are you going to stand corrected. Yes it's frustrating that we lost but we were always eventually going to lose some time after a fabulous run in the PL. There has been some serious knee jerk reaction on here to this loss, without looking at the whole picture. One poster even claimed we bottled it again, for Christ sake, are we the only team who bottle it when we lose !!! We didn't bottle it, we lost to a really exceptional team, we weren't at our best, granted, and Kane is not at his best at the moment because he is regaining his sharpness after an injury. He needs game time and hopefully a game against Brighton and a goal or two that doesn't have to go to the adjudication panel just before next weeks Semi will be just what the doctor ordered, let's not be too downbeat.

Bit gutting as I was pretty hopeful yesterday. It looks like City had the rocket they seemed to be missing in CL though. There was a focus, confidence and lack of nerves there, and we possibly left ourselves a bit open to it. Seemed a bit flat, oddly, from the bits I've seen. Oh well, next game.

@Ionman34 do explain your disagree. We’re you at the game? I was and we got dominated.

Don’t think we got dominated anywhere near as much as people are making out we had 48% of the ball. Liverpool had 37% of ball over 2 legs against city and united had 38% last week. We just gave away 3 sloppy goals and weren’t incisive enough with the ball. Even in the away game we had 47%. At a guess I’d say we’ve had more of the ball against city over 2 PL games than any other team.

We lost because out front players didn't press at all in the first 30 mins. Instead we played a high defensive line and then didn't put pressure on the ball. It was clear they would be able to score with a long ball over the top for about 15 mins before they actually did.

I said after Sane hit the post that it seem like Poch's tactical plan was to make sure City scored first.

Jan Vertonghen played well - Davison Sanchez was abysmal - we really have shot ourselves in the face with Toby.

All in all 3-1 massively flattered us - City deserved to win by a much higher margin and they didn't even play that well...I feel like we've put our feet up post the Chelsea win, were lucky against Stoke and then punished by a better team.

Hopefully it will give us the kick up the arse we need to push on and achieve our objectives for the remainder of the season.

Lamela need to be dropped Moura should be starting.

It was a disappointing result as Liverpool have shown everyone how to play against city with intensity and high pressing none of which we did either at home or away we showed way too much respect.
Having said that city were always going to pick themselves up again and get back to winning ways it was just annoying that it started with us, still we have a semi final to look forward to next week with a final spot up for grabs.

I don't know what went on before the game, but we looked disengaged. Guardiola was on the sidelines, berating the referee; Poch stayed sat down. Lamela seemed to be lacking confidence, was indecisive and hesitant, and when he went off, Poch seemed to remember to greet him belatedly. It seemed as if Poch had decided after 20 mins that we weren't up for it.
During the game, we allowed them too much space and time on the ball. There was little pressing, especially from Kane and I don't think he's fit; in fact, I don't think he should be starting at present. We have played with more verve without an injured Kane and with Son in the side. I think we press better than with him at the moment. The whole set-up with the high line was messed up with the lack of the press. City knew we were getting back in the game, so resorted to time wasting.

No I wasn’t at the game, what has that to do with it?
I saw it live, we were beaten by the better team but we weren’t battered. The score line was fair imo, it didn’t flatter us and 3-1 isn’t a battering.

Fair enough?

If there's one tiny thing that annoys me about Kane it's that his off the ball work can be very inconsistent. I don't know if he's not going full pelt for a particular reason, whether he's trying to avoid injury or he's under the manager's instructions. Yesterday he was particularly poor and it allowed City to play through us really easily.

Been a great season but in the two games against City it was embarrassing....could have been a cricket score in both. Also Davies carried on from Kane and Alli in trying to break a Man City player's leg.

Wasn't expecting a lot but City were made to look superhuman by us twice this season.
