Nolito
could be the star striker of Tottenham after the winter market. It should also be remembered that FC Barcelona is interested and so is Arsene Wenger of Arsenal.

In the last hours they have intensified contacts between Celta de Vigo and Tottenham, with a move to be around 12 million euros. What is clear is that Spain Nolito leave sooner rather than later.

€12m for a 29yr old who has always played in Spain and would be coming here as back up for Kane..... Don't think so.

Agree with the above; can't imagine that kind of money being spent on a player, who for all intents & purposes, is coming to play as the second striker.

Would much rather us re-sign Defoe for a couple of million if he's available.

At that price and his age I don't really see it happening. Far more likely is Townsend going and Berahino coming in. Seems Berahino has been having a pop at West Brom on Twitter; not sure if this is good because he'll be cheaper or it means he's a trouble maker we should steer clear of. My guess is his agent is telling him what to do. If not that, then we need to find a different back up striker, we can't go all season praying Kane doesn't get injured.

I do think we will have to spend a minimum of 12 million to get someone good enough in the January window, Nolito is a very gifted player, and 29 is not too old for me. The problem is more that he primarily plays as a left winger cutting in to use his brilliant right foot. We don't need a left winger - we need a strong, skillful striker who can play up front on his own in the PL and still do well. I don't think Nolito is that player, but we'd better find someone, and hopefully by early January too.
