[Apparently Ben Davies is going to choose Tottenham over Liverpool after speaking to Gareth Bale about the club. #THFC

Probably not true but...[/quote]

Probably told him we were a good stepping stone lol

He looks good in that YouTube video which goes to reinforce how misleading these YouTubes can be. Looking at the one posted on page 3 of this thread he looks crap!! Delighted if we get him, though - great potential.

He reminds me very much of Cyril Knowles. If BD turns about to be half as good then I will be very happy and so will all yido's.

He would be a very good left back and I think will fit well into the way we play... MoPo should do all he can to get him provided it's not ridiculous wages for a 21 year old

Now that there is a youtube video making him look good, as opposed to the one against Napoli, people will begin to like him...fickle :D

Spoke to my Swansea supporting mate today. She'll be gutted if he goes. She said he had not the best of seasons last year but also said no-one really improved due to there manager not really giving a shit. Likened the situation to Harry's last months when he thought he was getting the England job.
Anyway she thinks he'll be a very good signing for us and 10m will look like a bargain in a few years time.

Likes to cross, good at passing, can play wing back but doesn't lose his head like some, young, British.

Why wouldn't you want this?

He also seems to play with a level of focus, composure and quiet determination which is impressive for his age.

£10m? Really Daniel, £10m? Really? Unbelievable. Please tell me the telegraph is on a wind up and its more like half that. £10m for Davies is proposterous. Either the Telegraph is on a wind up or Daniel is losing his touch. 5-8 is fair, 8 might be too high for me though. 9 is "ill get back to you in a few weeks and we'll see if we can get it down a bit" 10+ is a hang up without even saying bye.

We can get a much, much, much, much better 23 yr old LB from outside the country for double that. Or we could have hijacked Gladbach's move from January signing a much better 24 yr old LB(who could also play a good RB) on a pre contract from Hoffenheim. Either would have been acceptable. Get it together, Daniel.

Can you please stop acting like a 5 year old? Your schtick is getting old and played out.

I bet you weren't complaining when we were selling players like Livermore and Defoe for obscene prices.

I really can't decide if , for 10 million, I am happy about this potential signing. It seems a lot for a reasonably solid left back that hasn't offered a great deal in regards to assists etc as well. It does strike me that we could have bough a non British solid left back for less. Although I havent seen his rise with Swansea to know if he has a lot of potential still to fulfill and will therefore improve a lot.

But if Poch wants him, then it gets my backing. (y)
