Apart from the goal we've been very good

Sometimes when you concede a goal, you just have to put your hands up and say well done, good goal. It was nobody's fault, just a screamer of a goal. We've looked good bar a couple of chances/shots Ox-C had to run onto in front of our goal.

That was a decent half. We looked more dangerous as the half went on. The first 15 minutes saw us have too much pointless possession, which tends to lull ourselves rather than the opposition into lapses of concentration. Kaboul and Vertonghen both nearly let them in, after periods of them having the ball too much.

Their keeper hasn't had enough to do, but we've carried the game to them without being too open at the back. As long as we don't shoot ourselves in the foot with some insane high-line defending, or silly individual mistake, then we should be able to get back into this. We're on top and just need to remain patient and concentrated. Adebayor and Chadl have been good. Eriksen should be more involved.

As usual, the game thread is full of flaming drama queens eager to throw one-liners of hate out at an individual or a minor incident. We're actually doing reasonably well if you bother to watch how we've controlled most of the possession and built our way into getting behind their last line.

I think most people fail to realise how often Kaboul and jan have had to play with each other in actual matches.

Frustrating in terms of final ball...but overall we're playing well. Need to really go for it now, as we all know its win or its over.

Paulinho, Soldado decent options...

So far, imho;

Lloris couldn't do a thing about the goal, Rosicky slit a chickens throat before the game like he usually does and satan gifted him a cracker, but it's not even the goal that worries me, it's the fact that same route has opened up 7 or 8 times in that first half. Considering we had the ball for most of it and managed to barely get a shot away, that's frankly ridiculous.

Their attack has been briefed to wait nice and deep on the flanks and bomb forward for the through balls and for some reason Verts, Kaboul & Rose are just not picking up these runs - oddly, Naughton has been arguably our most committed defender and has done well covering the length of the line, which is something Rose hasn't done unless he's had to chase Sagna back up the pitch. Rose also needs to fight a bit harder to stay on his f*cking feet in the challenge - he is softer than philidelphia cheese - MTFU, Danny.

Townsend hasn't gotten his head up once when in possession, blindly stabbing the ball around so regardless of the effort he puts in, it's pointless. Adebayor looks stranded up there and frustrated at only being fed the odd punt.

Eriksen is playing hard, covering a fair bit of turf, but Townsend & Rose have had too much possession - they, along with Bentaleb, should be told to get that ball to the Dane at every opportunity, support him and watch his runs.

Sandro looks frustrated at being off the pace of the players he's expected to marshall, maybe drop him deeper and let him roam amongst the defenders - give him that extra few yards to close down them dangerous runs.

We can still get something out of this, no doubt, but we need to close up, play a bit more sensible and start looking at what's actually happening around them.

A positive is that we didn't capitulate after conceding the early goal. Also managed to play some reasonable football over the half. If we can stay focused and avoid letting them get another, we have a real chance of turning this game round and getting the win

The way things are going I have more chance of milla jovovich walking into my room and giving me blowjob than we are of scoring a goal in the second half.

We are just too slow, especially from defence jan dithers way to long.

Kaboul and rose are just terrible and jan should be playing left back when everyone is fit

Not for me.

He's a better centre back than left back imo, and playing him there would just annoy him.

Harsh to have a go at Bentaleb/Townsend. Townsend has got into the game and combined quite well at times, certainly as well as I imagine Lennon could offer, Bentaleb has been a bit quiet and safety first yet has been no worse than Sandro. The worst player for me has been Kaboul, I think everything he has done has been heart in mouth and I don't feel safe any time he is called into action either with the ball or when defending.

Christian Gross could have done better with this bunch of players. No style of play. No direction of style

They were so lucky for their goal, it really fucks me off!! it truly does.

Weve been Lots off huff and puff without the final bit of quality. I feel this side is one we could build on, theres a few little errors here and there but its probably the best weve played since the toon game. I'd like to see Bentaleb Stop the backwards passing as it breaks up the flow and we have to start over again and its given them chance to get back. i'd like to see Soldado on for Townsend moving Eriksen right and Chadli left.

They weren't lucky, our left back was playing hide n' seek................no one could see where he was.

I don't think Arsenal are worried about us having so much possession

Have we had a shot on target?
