We have no end product because we have Bentaleb and Townsend playing in 2 of the 5 key attacking positions. These two have shown they do not have end product or creativity, but some people here and our manager seemingly can't see it.

We've seen this same fucking story over and over again. We'll come out flying in the second half with no changes until they score on the counter and then Sherwood will make wholesale changes at minute 75. He needs to be proactive and make changes at the half, or we won't win this.

Townsend has plenty of ability. Way more threat than Lennon or Siggy from wide. Just needs good coaching. Bentaleb is a better passer than anyone else we've got at CM. Tim needs to motivate him to grab the game by the balls and actually take responsibility for us winning this game. Linking things up and being technically proficient isn't enough at this level

This really isn't knee-jerk, because I'm at the point now that it's so predictable that I'm not even angry, but there is pretty close to zero quality out there going forward. Just about the only person I trust to play anything other than a sideways or backwards pass is Eriksen.

Why do we have a group of 'attackers' on the pitch who can't even string some passes together? Remember when Modric, Bale and VdV used to play those quick little passes in and around the area and open up space? Well those days are long gone. Can we just stop this high possession bull-shit and pass forwards for once? You know, release the ball as soon as you get it, rather than tap, tap, think, look, tap, tap, pass, every-fucking-time?

Is it not obvious to every single person watching that our tempo is so low that the opposition, from Arsenal to Norwich can read it like a book? We need some god-damn urgency if we're to have any chance of rescuing this season.

You could say Eriksen too but he's too dangerous at set pieces, but playing Eriksen on the left is like playing Mata on the right!

Paulinho can only come on if he is going to track back, Rose the only player player who has been shocking, considering his want of keeping every news outlet informed of his desire to play in the first team he hasn't backed any of it up yet.

Controlled it pretty well tbh. Still useless in and around the box, Sandro needs to calm down abit and betaleb needs to come off. Wasn't he meant to be our "modric?" He hardly ever passes forwards, and doesn't dictate the tempo/play. If he isn't doing that and can't tackle and also scared to shoot, he's a passenger today.

What's the alternative genius?

The alternative is playing the Brazilian international who has 4 goals and 2 assists in league play and has the talent to get you a goal in a big game, like he has for the biggest national team in the world. You also might like to throw on the only player who's won you a match in recent times, who also happens to have had a hand in about 10 league goals this season. Or we could just persist with Bentaleb and Townsend and virtually guarantee we don't score.

Do Spurs fans just revel in misery too much? I don't see how you can go through this season and not think that that first half was an improvement?

Some signs of encouragement for sure. Chadli and Eriksen are the only ones that look intelligent going forward I'll admit, but before the game I thought only Eriksen was capable of that.

I just don't see how townsend is a right winger. Bags of talent but surely he should play on the left?

Paulinho is capable of scoring, We have nobody running into the box.
Bentaleb, Sandro, Townsend and Chadli offer virtually no goal threat.

I think Soldado should come on and Bentaleb should go off but that would completely screw up our shape. Either way we are playing them off the park, completely one sided bar their occasional counter. Pleased with the performance, but this is eerily similar to the reverse fixture. Dominate but can't get the cutting edge in the final third.

Have to run at their fullbacks and get one sent off.
