This is an absolute joke, my personal highlight was Bale getting the same rating as Arteta and Walcott  Mertesacker also managed to get a 7, the same as Kaboul Eek

THE GOALKEEPERS
TOTTENHAM
Brad Friedel
Some eyebrows may have been raised when Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp signed the ageing shot stopper for free. However, the 40-year-old has cemented his place as the club's no.1, proving far more reliable than Gomes and on more than one occasion has kept the opposition at bay to help Spurs pick up points.
SCORE OUT OF TEN: 8

ARSENAL
WOJCIECH SZCZESNY
While Friedel is nearing the end of his career, Szczesny is just starting out. What he lacks in experience he makes up for in quality, however, and is the best 'keeper Arsenal have had since Jens Lehmann. Like Friedel at Spurs, he did not cost the club a penny, in the Pole's case joining Arsenal's youth set up and signing professional terms in 2007 when he was 17. Despite conceding eight against Man United in August, he has proven to be one of the league's best performing 'keepers already and the best is surely yet to come.
SCORE OUT OF TEN: 8

SCORE SO FAR: TOTTENHAM 8 ARSENAL 8

THE DEFENDERS
TOTTENHAM
Kyle Walker
Since establishing himself ahead of Vedran Corluka this season, Walker has gone on to to make his full England debut and his displays down the right have reportedly alerted both Real Madrid and Roma. He has gone from strength to strength and has made the step up to the first-team look easy.
SCORE OUT OF TEN: 7

Ledley King
“He's only got one knee, he's better than John Terry,” the Tottenham fans sing. King has consistently been one of the Premier League's best centre-backs and, were it not for injury, would surely have moved to one of the continent's big guns while Spurs were labouring to mid-table finishes in the past. In fact, a fully fit King was so good that a lot of Arsenal fans harboured hopes he'd do a Sol Campbell and cross North London. Instead, he stayed at White Hart Lane He's made 10 appearances so far this season, four more than his total for the entire 2010/11 campaign and never looks like he's under pressure.
SCORE OUT OF TEN: 8

Younes Kaboul
France defender Kaboul has seen his first-team playing time increased as a result of Michael Dawson's spell on the sidelines. He has surprised many Spurs fans who believed he was not up to scratch and is fondly remembered as the man that headed the winner against Arsenal in the 3-2 win in November 2010 at the Emirates.
SCORE OUT OF TEN: 7

Benoit Assou-Ekotto
For a time, it was thought that Tottenham's left-back position was the weakest link, but the Cameroonian has proved the doubters wrong. This season already he has helped the club keep five clean sheets, has two assists and played 15 times. Like Bacary Sagna, Tottenham can rely on their full-back and he is ever present for the Lilywhites.
SCORE OUT OF TEN: 7

ARSENAL
Bacary Sagna
Solid Sagna, before his breaking his leg against Tottenham in October, was as reliable as ever for the Gunners. Not as fast as his opposite number Walker, opposition forwards still find him incredibly difficult to beat.
SCORE OUT OF TEN: 7

Thomas Vermaelen
Vermaelen has been unfortunate with injuries in the past, but the Belgian has appeared 10 times in the league this season and how Arsenal need him. He even filled in for left-back Andre Santos against Everton when the Brazilian was taken off injured. When he is on top form, it's hard to see anyone getting the better of him and he's one of the best centre-backs in the Premier League.
SCORE OUT OF TEN: 8

Per Mertesacker
Mertesacker's skills have often been derided since his £8m August move from Germany's Werder Bremen, but you don't win over 80 caps for Germany without being good. He has come in for stick from supporters and pundits, though the club's defensive injury problems have not helped him settle and he recently told Gunners fans his best is yet to come.
SCORE OUT OF TEN: 7

ANDRE SANTOS
Great ability to both attack and defend and has shown why Arsene Wenger spent £6m on Santos in the summer. His injury against Olympiakos in the Champions League in the middle of December has ruled the Brazilan out for three months, which now means the Gunners are without any recognised full-backs. Sagna, and Carl Jenkinson are both out and Kieran Gibbs is not quite fit yet, either. If they are still in touch with Spurs when Santos returns, he could prove vital in helping the Gunners overhaul Redknapp's team.
SCORE OUT TEN: 7

SCORE SO FAR: TOTTENHAM 29 ARSENAL 29

THE MIDFIELDERS
TOTTENHAM
Aaron Lennon
Before picking up a hamstring injury in the club's 1-0 win against Sunderland, the winger was in sensational form for Tottenham. The 24-year-old England international's pace and excellent crossing from the right have contributed to the Spurs midfield becoming one of the most fearsome in the league.
SCORE OUT TEN: 8

Scott Parker
Along with recruiting Freidel, the signing of 30-year-old Parker from West Ham has proven to be a masterstroke by Redknapp. Together with Luka Modric, the duo have formed a lethal partnership in the middle this year. A tireless player, his passing and tackling have been instrumental in both attack and defence. Gooners are surely rueing Arsene Wenger's decision not to take Parker to the Emirates.
SCORE OUT TEN: 9

LUKA MODRIC
As Chelsea circled in the summer, chairman Daniel Levy held on to the club's prize asset and the tricky Croatian has been one of the Premier League's most outstanding performers since. A memorable goal against Liverpool in September's 4-0 thrashing is just one of many highlights and his efforts in the middle of the pitch has given belief to some that Tottenham could actually challenge for their first title in 51 years. Or at least finish above their neighbours.
SCORE OUT OF TEN: 9

Gareth Bale
Last season's Player's Player of the Year already has five goals in 14 games from the left as well as five assists as he continues where he left off last season. Powerful, fast and skilful; keeping the Wales international fit will be crucial to the club's push for Champions League qualification.
SCORE OUT TEN: 8

ARSENAL
Theo Walcott
Unlike many of his team-mates, Walcott has managed to steer clear of injuries and striker Robin Van Persie has certainly benefited from the creative England winger's attacking forays. With pace to burn and excellent movement and dribbling, Arsenal have needed the 22-year-old on form this term and he has contributed with goals, too.
SCORE OUT OF 10: 8

ALEX SONG
Holding the midfield expertly is Arsenal's Cameroon international. This season, his strength, passing and tackling have been vital in breaking up opposition attacks and as a result of the club's defensive crisis, Song has also filled in at centre back when his team-mates have been struck down with injury. He is a player growing with every season.
SCORE OUT OF 10: 8

Aaron Ramsey
For someone so young – he'll be 21 on Boxing Day – the Wales captain is a very clever player. His vision is excellent, his passing is spot on and he has bags of confidence. He may lack physicality, but Ramsey shows no fear in the middle and has four assists as well as two goals in his 15 Premier League appearances. Another player who is only going to get better and better with experience.
SCORE OUT OF 10: 8

Mikel Arteta
The signing of Arsenal's creative Spaniard in the summer has paid dividends for the Gunners, after Cesc Fabregas' departure and the injury to Jack Wilshere. His vision, creativity and talent from dead ball situations have been vital to the club's form this season and he has also scored four goals in 15 appearances.
SCORE OUT OF 10: 8

SCORE SO FAR: TOTTENHAM 65 ARSENAL 63

THE FORWARDS
TOTTENHAM
Rafael Van Der Vaart
Was one of the buys of the season last year when he signed from Real Madrid for £8m. This season, playing behind the striker, he has notched six goals in 13 starts as his partnership with Emmanuel Adebayor has kept Jermain Defoe on the substitutes bench. His goals range from the spectacular to the simple tap in.
SCORE OUT OF 10: 8

EMMANUEL ADEBAYOR
His goals – 8 in 13 – have seen Spurs fans welcome the former Arsenal man since his arrival on loan from Man City. Adebayor is equally adept in the air as he is on the ground, though his temperament and tendency to drift in and out of games has been a cause of frustration for fans in the past.
SCORE OUT OF 10: 8

ARSENAL
GERVINHO
Gervinho's runs from the left have earned him six assists, to the delight of Robin van Persie. He can take people on and his close control and dribbling have benefited the team immensely. Against bigger defenders, though, he sometimes comes up short and at only 5ft 9in he can get out-muscled.
SCORE OUT OF 10: 7

ROBIN VAN PERSIE
Fast, skilful and deadly in front of goal as his record this campaign shows. With 33, he has three games left in the calendar year to break Alan Shearer's scoring record and while he's had problems with injury in the past, it has been so far so good this season. His hearing isn't great, mind. Just ask that referee...
SCORE OUT OF 10: 10

RESULT
TOTTENHAM 87-86 ARSENAL

Ramsey the same as van der Vaart is pretty funny
Yeh didn't see that one

I love how they use this to vindicate his 8/10:
He may lack physicality, but Ramsey shows no fear in the middle and has four assists as well as two goals in his 15 Premier League appearances.

All of the above are open to debate, and it's never that simple, because there are so many factors that effect a players worth to a team, including those he is played with - ie a player's value to the team will enhance if played with the right balance and in the right position and will decrease if played out of position or with the wrong balance etc - but that's my quick assessment.

Err, how can you give Walker an 8 and Wiltshire only a 7?
And Nutsacker would be in there with an 8 ahead of Koscienly.
Just because "they" are totally biassed doesn't mean we need to be. Man for man and as a team we're better than the goons but let's be honest about it.

In relation to Spurs/Arsenal, I'd give Lennon another .5 over Walcott.

Both have the ability to be completely useless, but when they're on form, they can both be good players - Lennon is on form more IMO.

I mean seriously Vidic a 7 and then give Ferdinand and Kaboul 7.5

On no planet is Vidic as good as Luiz

Romeu, you have based his ratings on 3 or so games:roll:

Then Spurs ratings were quite thorough describing how many goals / assists Bale got to warrant an 8 rating.

The Arsenal ones were just poorly explained and lazy.

Walcott's rating was very lazy and in no way justified his 8. If they're going to be silly they could at least put some proper effort.

And the thing about King is rubbish too, yes he might have gone abroad but you can also see how well we do when he's in there so who's to say we might not have won us some serious silverwear with a Ledders with two good knees consistently marshalling our defence?
