Walker 5.5
Barry 6.5

Couple of odd ratings there. Walker is a lot better than 5.5 (imo obviously) and I hate to say it but Barry has been brilliant for City this season which is why he is starting games for them ahead of Milner and De Jong.

The "Barry is shit" thing is funny but as untrue as other supporters saying BAE is shit for instance. City fans would tell you he's a key player for them in the middle.

I mean seriously Vidic a 7 and then give Ferdinand and Kaboul 7.5

On no planet is Vidic as good as Luiz

Romeu, you have based his ratings on 3 or so games:roll:

I honestly think that Kaboul is a better current package than Vidic. They are both strong types, but Kaboul is quicker and a better footballer. Vidic is a tasty unit but is currently constantly injured and has always been prone to howlers.

Ferdinand would have been a 9 in his heyday, for me the best CB out there. But he's on the wane, constantly injured and no where near as quick as he used to be.

Luiz is one of the best footballing CB's in the EPL without a doubt, but he is very, very suspect defensively. Every time I watch him he makes at least one major mistake.

It was impossible to rate Romeu really but I had to for this purpose, so it was a default 7 ?

Default is 7, so Romeu gets it, but after watching Walker for nearly half a season in which we've had generally great results, he's a 5.5  so his performances are so below average he loses 1.5 from the median. That's power trolling right there...

I'd hate to see what our other past fullbacks would have got, as they've proportionally made at least as many mistakes leading to goals as Walker has (Corluka probably more in one game vs Utd than Walker has in all his matches combined), but how many times have their lung busting runs created space for others, or directly made goals like Walker has? Or scored an important winner in a derby, after our front players contrived to spurn the 5/6 gilt edged chances we should have taken to win that game comfortably.

Much like with 'analysis' that game, where Arse's possession manifested a mere one proper-ish chance apart from their goal to our 5/6 sitters, if you repeat over and over that Walker's not up to much, despite evidence to the contrary, maybe others might become convinced... but I don't think they are..
