not sure why the crowd is getting stick, these are the poor buggers that actually showed up! They deserve a free bag of popcorn.

Not a great performance but on the bright side we won't have to face the mighty Barnsley reserves every week.

It's very frustrating watching us at the moment as we know we can be so much better. However, I do think we need to remember that we were a completely different team last season from around about Christmas time onwards and it was very similar the year before. I realise that we picked up more points early last season but there was a fair few games where we hadn't looked all that and it was only really the games where the opposition tried to have a go. Not too mention we haven't seen our two preferred wing-backs - Rose/Davies & Aurier - yet, and that for me makes a huge difference to how a Pochettino team plays.

Factor in the new stadium adjustment too.

It may be a couple more months before we see the 'flying Tottenham' of last year. We just need to be patient.

The stuff you dream of, playing and winning at Wembley as a kid, in a Carabao Cup 3rd round match scraping through against Barnsley's second team on a cold, wet September night

I used to love the wireless in the old days.
Children's hour with Uncle Mac.
TV has ruined things big time..
Mind you we didn't have TV then

Really sorry that we have disappointed Talksport by "just about deserving" our win. I'm not sure that I understand what that actually means, but then again 1-0 isn't black and white on Planet Pearce.

I love the way Pearce contradicts himself: fans will be disappointed by the display; but all that matters at this stage is getting through.

I heard him and he did contradict himself, but that's not what he said.
