For me, the biggest negative was that we still have no idea how to break down a packed defence. Worldies aside, I mean. We had a lot of good, controlled possession around the edge of their box, but no obvious tactics for that situation. It's not as though it isn't a common situation for us...
The most telling thing for me is the lack of quality attacking options off the bench though. Perisic would have been great to come on in a game like this one. Those close games can often be decided by impact subs but we're really light due to the players missing.

What we need is someone with that extra bit of creativity.

Someone who consistently makes the right decision in the final third.

Someone who can create something out of nothing….

Yeah but but but that’s not the point….: it’s someone else to dig out. Skipps going to be chuffed sess is back to share the shit!
Skipp didn't do much wrong today either. I think he gets up and down the pitch quite well and gets involved. Most of our problems were Richy not firing and kulu not having his best game.

Only saw the highlights. One question:

Any idea what Richarlison was doing in the moment right before Porro’s wonder goal? He was in the box, had the ball at his feet, and just seemed to WALK AWAY FROM THE BALL(?), leaving it for their keeper to claim.

Or did someone push him or get a little touch I didn’t see? I hope so for his sake, cuz that was a MARE.

I think Ange summed it up with his comment that it was just about winning.

For me, you put Sarr/Bissouma, Son, and Maddison in there tonight and we win comfortably.
The biggest issue that we can't fix with our squad is probably Richarlison. I was hoping he may have turned the corner but it was a poor performance tonight.
He's got the rest of the season to step up, but he's the position I think we need to upgrade the most in terms of the starting eleven.

i mean the front 3.

vicario, porro, romero, vdv, udogie, bissouma/bentancur, sarr, maddison and son are all of a similar quality relative to their positions.

lw and rw aren't at that level, richy at 9 isn't either.

we score a lot because we commit so many players forward. a lot of our goals come from overloads and forcing the opposition into errors, rather than sheer quality.
I think you're being a tad unfair on Deki.

He has actually carried the attack a bit in some games. He had a couple of poor ones too but thats cause he was tired.

Against Villa he was superb and Newcastle too.

But he is having ups and downs cause of the workload.

Richarlison is never going to be top level, for a start he cannot finish in his left as we saw first half but he is still a decent option to have if we get another quality winger.

We do need a bit better in that area but I ain't writing Deki off

i think Ange's reaction was quite telling. I imagine he was thinking "You need to start to put those ones away mate"

But Richarlison is pretty weak on shots that come across from his left Can't make strong enough connection

The only important thing was to be in the hat for the 4th round.

The FA Cup draw has always been a highlight for me. Excited to watch it.

Sometimes I feel for you guys (I guess the majority here) that watches games from the UK.

This was the lineup they gave you in the studio? Talksport's biggest Arsenal mouthpiece, former Arsenal female player and Ian Wright.

At least Ian Wright is practically a Tottenham fan these days when it's not about Arsenal. Always gives us a fair shake, and fair play to him for it.

I love Porro's passion, kissing the badge, scoring a belter and firing up the crowd. I'll ignore the times I panicked when Burnley targeted his defensive duties lol his passing and pressing is what makes up for it. Udogie I have to say sublime and best left back since Rose if not better.

Burnley were spirited and probably on their 2 chances deserved a replay. A scrappy win and as mentioned being in the 4th round is all that matters and you can sit back hoping Lego head's Goons crumble COYS!

Yeah I wouldn't say many reasonable Spurs fans dislike the guy nowadays.
