I'm not even sure it's Wembley, every single season under Poch we start off like a stodgy two day old bowl of porridge, and end up like a steam train in Dec/Jan/Feb. It's surely not a coincidence.

Agree, how many times have we heard about Poch's torturous pre season, and working the players like dogs.

Coincidence that we play slow as fuck for 6 weeks afterwards then come strong...

Got away with it with poor performances that scraped wins/draws in previous seasons but now we're getting the hoodoo aspect of Kane/Wembley shoved down our throats.. and it would take a very single minded player to not let it cross your mind.


Luckily our next game is in September so hopefully Kane will get 10 and all will be forgotten.

Trippier is an awful player, both offensively and defensively. Burned for pace by most players.

Very harsh. He's not awful but he shouldn't be our number 1 RB. Every time he has faced a quick team or played on a big pitch he has been caught out at some point. He's a useful asset as he provides some quality crosses but on a big pitch, like today, he really struggles to deal with the length of the pitch.

This whole "curse" is just the players and the manager believing it, even the fact Kane can't score in August is all mentality related.

Funny how Burnley spend £15M on a player and he comes up to score the goal that equalises it for them, it's almost like if you sign players early, before the season starts, you are then prepared for the season ahead.

You can blame the defence all you want, but our goal came from a lucky deflection and last week an own goal.

Though their keeper played well, we created very little and when we did our finishing was woeful.

Why is Janssen at the club? I can't figure that out.

I expect the lad to be wondering about that as well. How is he going to ever prove himself if idiots like Sissoko get on ahead of him. Play him or sell him. VJ is still young enough to rescue his career somewhere that values him. What the hell is he supposed to do with 2 minutes in injury time every second game???

This time last year we had 5 points (1 more for those that can't do the maths).

We struggled away at Everton in the first game. Then needed a late winner at home to Palace. In a shit game. Then got played off the park by Liverpool for 70 mins but scrambled a draw. You cant judge how a season will go after 3 matches. Yes we were shit today, yes our defending was dreadful in the last 15 mins, yes the subs made did not have the desired effect. But it is after 3 fucking games guys. There is a long way to go.

Been a big Levy fan for a long time but it's time he stood up and took some blame for this. Fannying around with signings has cost us big time here. No game changers on the bench, Poch doesn't trust a whole bunch of his subs. If we'd had a couple of extra players in instead of signing them this week we would have seen that game out.

You must of missed the part where we were getting ripped down the flank, over and over again, defending a 1 goal lead with 15 minutes left. Poor performance or not, we win that game with Walker in for Tripper. It was entirely his fault. He's just not good enough. We really require wingbacks in our system and he's just not that. He lacks the athleticism to do the job and it really shows up on bigger pitches. Like Wembley. I'm sorry for the people that just can't see the obvious.

I saw the limitation Trippier is.. But Walker had been sold, get on with it.. If Aurier is coming, isn't Poch addressing that issue?? The issue I had today was more of how we couldn't even defend for two more fucking minutes IMO, and we let that fucking Wembley monkey got to our back once again for another three stupid damn weeks in hope to get it down. How intolerable that is gonna be...

We've only won 2 from 12 (one of them was a meaningless CL fixture and the other one was about nine years ago iirc) so Wembley's a problem
