Sad thing is, after Sissoko came on I could see this happening, instantly the game changed and Burnley got on the front foot, terrible sub.

It was one of our problems, but certainly not our only.

You can blame the defence all you want, but our goal came from a lucky deflection and last week an own goal.

Though their keeper played well, we created very little and when we did our finishing was woeful.

Why is Janssen at the club? I can't figure that out.

@werty Hope you're ecstatic at the game management we showed there :p
Ya. Constantly giving the ball away and playing like the game was already won was great. Could have easily happened against Newcastle and happened a lot two seasons ago. Thought we had fixed that problem last season but clearly not.

We need a more athetic RB for sure, lets hope Aurier signs and Trippier is not defensively good enough or quick enough for this system for most games.

Absolutely gutted, gonna have to wait two weeks and get hammered about this shitty curse in the press.

I'm not even sure it's Wembley, every single season under Poch we start off like a stodgy two day old bowl of porridge, and end up like a steam train in Dec/Jan/Feb. It's surely not a coincidence.

Trippier isn't suited for the RB role in a 4231. He's better as a RWB with 3 cb's to cover for him. I'm not even sure if he attempted to go past the Burnley LB, his fall back option is take a touch and play it back. Makes it incredibly easy for the opposition to limit his threat.

He's not suited to doing anything but crossing a ball. The occasional pass aside his general play is really messy, he's got average pace and little dribbling ability, and cant defend.

I've said that since he signed. I've also said all summer that I can understand Poch wanting to give him an opportunity to step up, but games like that aren't going to help him. Quite honestly I wouldn't mind binning him as well as Walker, and they can drag Davies out the door as well.

No I think Arsenal will comfortably take that honour from us.

We should be two points off top today. Disgraceful result. Top to bottom they should hang their heads in shame.

You're not wrong...
Think he'd be the same if they lopped off his lower legs and melded boots to his knee-stumps ...

Anyone thinking we don't have an issue playing at Wembley is kidding themselves.
We desperately needed to scramble over the line and get that first win, now fuck knows. It's in our heads now and this result is a disaster for our season.
Also our current full backs are simply not suitable to how we want to play and the Wembley pitch. We need Rose back and Aurier signed asap.
Game management by the players and Poch at the end was an absolute embarrassment too. Appalling stuff.

Isn't the problem setting up the team tactically for the WHL pitch instead of the Wembley one? Why are other teams able to get the hang of it the first time out, while we have problems perpetually?

Managers before Poch were crying out for bigger pitches.

Need to freshen the attack up.

Also desperately need some pace out wide and Barkley is essential for central midfield.

PACE,PACE,PACE & more Pace that's what we need.

also if we are up 1-0 and holding onto a lead we may wanna drop back and defend

Always has to be a bunch of moaning and a scapegoat, another game we probably should have won.

Walker didn't want to stay, fuck him and all mention of his name!

Third game, chill out a bit ffs.

I'm not a big one for slating individuals but with Sissoko I just cannot understand how he ever gets subbed on. It is a stretch to ever call him "in possession" as it is always like his left foot has just been introduced to his right foot. Maybe if he took his concrete wellies off he might be able to control the ball.

How do we ship Onomah out and keep bringing this bloke on?

Maybe if we had Winks and Eriksen put in a 3 with Dembele we might actually have recycled the ball a bit at the end.

And that game just gave me nightmare flashbacks to about 6 or 7 years ago. Proper Redknappian lottery football and how to chaotically do your best to squander a lead. I thought those days were done!

Poch, Poch, Poch...
