Can't wait for Moussa Dembele to come back in. We'll play a lot better when he's served his ban for being an idiot.

In his defence, it was Costa.

Costa who should have been sent off in both games played already this season, and Costa who got the winner in both those games. Sickening stuff....

There was ITK that we were courting someone but it was all hush hush. They must be of a higher calibre than our existing CMs if no names can be given.

I like the look of Winks but I don't think Everton away or Palace at home were the right games to throw him into. In addition to this he'd be straight out of the team once Dembele returns.

Oh please, not another secret superstar signing rumor for the last days of the transfer window. These never materialise. Not falling for it :D

He's got a massive cock he has, the Jan the Jan.

He tucks it in his sock he does, the Jan the Jan.

He f**ks his bird and now she's dead, he swings his cock up round his head, Jan Vertonghen Tottenham's superman

Na na na.... Jan Vertonghen, Tottenham's superman.

There are a few variations of it.
Would like to be there when Jan's mum asks him what they are singing when she next goes to the Lane.

My own opinion is that we should have had a motivated Chadli on the bench raring to go yesterday. If Poch wants to sell him that's another thing but i think we needed him yesterday as Eriksen was so poor.

If Wanyama hadn't scored then Chadli would have been an obvious choice to come on for one of the DMs in the last 10 mins. I don't understand dismissing a player who can still have value for us.

If he's injured then fair enough but it's all a big mystery for some reason.

Not having Clinton, Son or Chadli available is pretty crazy and very dampening to be honest. I think we desperately need more quality in the wide positions. It's strange that I feel we desperately need anything after last season but we've looked very flat the first two games.

At the moment I'd take just having Clinton and Son as options from the bench, just that would be refreshing to see but if we're gonna challenge anything this season I think the quality will have to be higher than those 2.

Seems like once you are off the radar with Poch your time is up. Adebayor, Capoue, Stambouli, Townsend could all have made contributions but were not even considered. Looks like Bentaleb and Chadli are now joining that list.

Well i hope not. Dunno. Maybe it was the advise Ferguson gave him last season or maybe Poch always had this belief, who knows.

But i tend to agree with it most of the time anyway because with the players you listed i (at least) can imagine why they had to go. Ade had his attitude, Capoue sided with lennon and Ade over training issues (apparently), Stambouli way too slow for the prem, Townsend ineffective for too long, and Bentelab had an ego problem (imo).

I just don't see Chadli as a failure for any reason. A good squad player who doesn't complain. A guy who is as likely to score against man city away as he is a crap team at home but gets his share. I only see his value and I'd like to know the full story there.

Maybe he was complaining as we have no clue really what goes on behind the scenes. Maybe he's not versatile enough for Poch. Wish i knew.

Chadli just doesn't work hard enough. Pretty obvious imo. He looks like he double dropped valium before most games. While everyone else is closing down like crazy he's wandering around in dream world. He's the antithesis of a Pochettino player.

Not obvious for me because that only explains why he's not a first 11 player. When a forward player is being subbed on its because we need goals 9 times out of 10. Show me another squad player who comes close to Chadli for goals to minute ratio....

Son, clinton, mason, carroll, the list goes on. Noone of them have proved they're up to replacing him yet. We'll miss him for champions league games when plan A hasn't worked too.

Do you blame our ineffectiveness on the players that play in the last third of the pitch or that we havn't got a CM playmaker? As the chances of us signing players for both seem slim.

I think the current players that play in the last third (aside from Clinton and Son who have had little chance) have tried their best over the best two seasons and now a different approach is needed. Despite double digit corners, and having the majority of the play we have again failed to break down a poor team at home.

A Leeds supporting mate of mine told me about that song a few years ago about one of their African players Enoch Chiwombay or something?! Thought it was good at the time

We didn't fail to break them down - we did that several times. What we failed to do was take the chances that arose (Janssen x 2, Kane from the edge of the box etc.). We weren't as dominant as we became in most games last season, but it'll take us a few matches to get up to speed.
