Mate what match was you at? Or was there some substance being sneakily smoked near you that has effected what you was watching, Dele aside?

I was frustrated, when Kane tried to slip Janssen in in the first half instead of driving at the space he checked back on to his left foot, reminded me of Pav. He was generally busy, but I didn't think we could he the ball to stick and the miss was Soldado-esque.

Thought he played well, and I wasn't t a fan of us signing him. What was blatantly obvious today, was Walker not able to drive down the right hand side due to the pace Palace had there. Think Poch instructed him not to do so, and from where I was in the West Stand he shouted couple times for him not to drive so far forward. Dele was poor last week, but quality when he came on this week, where as Eriksen was piss poor. Dele also bought the pace we were lacking in the final third.

I thought Janssen was actually quite poor, despite a few decent touches he lost the majority of his 50-50s, didn't seem to have the pace to get in behind, was very one-footed and the miss was truly shocking. Wanyama's reluctance to drive forward with the ball was also very frustrating, he seemed to want to pass sideways or backwards most of the time , but other than that I thought he was neat and tidy, Kane was more or less anonymous and the less said about Eriksen's performance the better. On the other hand I thought Rose, Walker and Alderwiereld all played very well, Lamela was our most creative player for the majority of the match and Dele was fantastic when he came on. What was particularly noticeable about Alli was that he always looked to get us going forward and it was his positive play that really turned the game more in our favour I felt.

I know what you mean about Janssen, he holds it up quite well at times but does seem a bit clumsy at times also, hes never gonna run at players, I was hoping he was going to make up for all of that with his shooting and goal record but today wasnt his day (his awful miss) hopefully once he gets one goal hes gonna bang them in, we'll see.

(what I do like about him is,if he loses the ball he always runs back and tries to win it back

I wasn't that convinced by Kane in his role today. It was the first complete game with them playing like that though so it will take a while.

It will change his role for us though playing both of them. Kane won't get as many goals.

Come on dude, you should know better that, yeah have a laugh at the result but don't apply it to us, we are more likely to get the Liverpool that beat Arsenal than this team today.
The liverpool team that beat Arsenal still couldn't defend, and were playing a very weak and inexperienced defense. We can get at them, but they could also score a couple.

Obvs. Burnley played deep and got a result by taking there chances. We will be more open. But regardless of which liverpool shows up I reckon we can take something.

I dunno Pav was largely pretty lazy at Spurs. He actually had quite a lot of talent, and great technique, but would only show it when he felt like it.

Happily take the 3 points.
Not so happy with a lot of other stuff.
Hopefully MoPo's early season learning curve is in full acceleration mode.

Suffering from the same issues as last season, ineffectiveness to break down teams in the final third of the pitch. It's plain for us to see, so i guess Poch does too. Fix this and we can become PL Champions, as we have everything else we need.

On current form Eriksens contract should be halfed not doubled! Once again shocking!

Surprised by the number agreeing with you on this. I don't doubt his talent and contribution that he made last season, and though this season is but young i have seen nothing to suggest that he should get an automatic start.

I cannot believe that Levy would give him an extended contract and increased salary based on this season so far, and in this sport you are only as good as your last game and that should be the same criteria for all our players.

His contribution today was a quick break downfield when he fell over at the crucial time, and aside from the persistent backing out of challenges and poor passing, he offered little in the most important area of the field.

Comparing his game today to that of Janssen's you would have thought it was Eriksen's second game in a Spurs shirt. Many have complained about the Dier and Wanyama partnership but they appeared to be a lot more accomplished, and showing understanding today with the rest of the team than Eriksen.

Based on this season so far, Kane and Alli are very average players.

Which is why you shouldn't base things on two games.

He definitely will, not about performance in this case. Eriksen's contract is running down, which means his transfer price is going down. If we want to keep him he will sign a new contract, and his agent will ask for better terms, even if it is just as a reward of being part of a team which is now in the Champions League.

If we don't get him a new contract soon, his value will plummet and I suspect we may even be looking to sell him come January. It wont happen though, he will sign.

Then pay him 100 grand a week to do what he's been doing so far, it's not my money but if it was i wouldn't give him a rise based on his form.

Several have said on here that he always starts slow, well we can't carry a player in such an important role for weeks on end hoping his form will return at some point. There are hungry players waiting to ge a start and possibly deserve to get on front of Eriksen so what of them?

Sentiment has no part in the modern game, everyone on here accepts that we can't break deep lying teams down worth a shit and yet some want to persist with an out of form player given the role to unlock defences. On current form Eriksen couldn't unlock his own front door.

Looks like Dier and Wanyama both started after Poch confirmed Alli had been ill during the week. What's concerning though is Poch would rather play 2 DMs over Mason and Carroll. I think if Bentaleb leaves we'll definitely bring in another central midfielder.

Or trust Winks?

Worrying lack of any paper talk regarding a midfielder

There was ITK that we were courting someone but it was all hush hush. They must be of a higher calibre than our existing CMs if no names can be given.

I like the look of Winks but I don't think Everton away or Palace at home were the right games to throw him into. In addition to this he'd be straight out of the team once Dembele returns.

Im worried winks will want to leave due to the lack of opportunities, and this will be to our loss. When carroll or mason are ahead of him in the pecking order, he'll find it very hard to get a game. I'm surprised Poch does not dare gamble with him..

Do you blame our ineffectiveness on the players that play in the last third of the pitch or that we havn't got a CM playmaker? As the chances of us signing players for both seem slim.
