Lewis Holtby pokes a ball through to Jermain Defoe and the England international takes it in his stride, finds some space and fires past Giorgi Loria.
It was a vintage Defoe strike and will give him some confidence after getting his chance to replace the rested Roberto Soldado.
20:52 GOAL - Tottenham 2-0 Dinamo Tbilisi (agg 7-0) - Jermain Defoe (45 mins)
Wonderful play by Kyle Walker out on the right as he rolls the ball under his foot before playing it to Gylfi Sigurdsson, who plays the ball across goal and Jermain Defoe fires home from two yards out.
Half Time Tottenham 2-0 D Tbilisi (Agg 7-0)
21:09 SUBSTITUTION - Tottenham 2-0 Dinamo Tbilisi (agg 7-0)
Tottenham make a change at half-time as forward Harry Kane replaces Andros Townsend. I wonder if Townsend has come off with a view to starting against Arsenal on Sunday?
21:20 SUBSTITUTION Another youngster coming on for Spurs, another member of the team likely to start against Arsenal coming off. Right-back Kyle Walker is off for former Manchester United youngster Zeki Fryers.
21:26 HITS THE WOODWORK - Tottenham 2-0 Dinamo Tbilisi (agg 7-0)
Harry Kane sets up Gylfi Sigurdsson, who hits a wonderful strike from the edge of the area that strikes the crossbar, just inches away from flying into the top corner.
21:32 GOAL - Tottenham 3-0 Dinamo Tbilisi (agg 8-0) - Lewis Holtby (69 mins)
Tottenham are so unbelievably comfortable here - Tom Carroll lays the ball off to Lewis Holtby, who hits a thunderbolt from at least 20 yards out which goes in off the underside of the crossbar.
21:39 SUBSTITUTION- Tottenham 3-0 Dinamo Tbilisi (agg 8-0)
Tottenham bring off goalscorer Lewis Holtby and on in his place is fellow midfielder Mousa Dembele - Andre Villas-Boas has made his three substitutes now for Tottenham.

Tottenham will be without Gareth Bale, who is close to joining Real Madrid, for the second leg of their Europa League play-off against Dinamo Tbilisi.
Spurs beat the Georgian side 5-0 last Thursday and with a derby against Arsenal on Sunday, boss Andre Villas-Boas may choose to rest some players.
Aaron Lennon missed training on Wednesday because of a foot injury.
Benoit Assou-Ekotto (knee) and Emmanuel Adebayor are unlikely to be involved with their club futures in doubt.

Portuguese coach Villas-Boas, who won this competition while in charge of Porto in 2011, said that despite Bale's impending move, he was content with his squad's response.
"We have a very, very strong team. If this transfer happens, it will give [players] the opportunity to step up their game, step up the responsibility and I think we have seen that in the last couple of games," he said.
"There hasn't been any disruption. We've been working well and the team is training very, very well."
Andros Townsend, who scored one goal and set up two others in the first leg, is one player who has the grasped the chance of a first-team place. The Spurs academy graduate has alsoearned a place in the senior England squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers after an impressive start to the season.
Tottenham's record signing Roberto Soldado has scored four goals in three games since he signed from Valencia in the summer for £26m.
Provisional squad (from): Friedel, Lloris, Archer, Walker, Kaboul, Vertonghen, Naughton, Dawson, Fryers, Fredericks, Stewart, Rose, Paulinho, Capoue, Sandro, Townsend, Dembele, Chadli, Sigurdsson, Carroll, Hotlby, Dombaxe, Soldado, Defoe, Kane, Coulthirst, Lancaster.

Whereas the Filth played their strongest available team last night, we should be able to fiddle a bit and still win the game.

__________Friedel

Naughton Dawson Kaboul Fryers

___Carroll _Sandro _Holtby

_Lennon* _Defoe__Sigurdsson

*If he's fit enough.

This has come at just the right time i think. GB off, Lamela in, and an opportunity to go out and forget all the transfer talk, and the crap surrounding Bale and just play some football and smash some goals in. Could be a real feel good night at the lane.

From the tweets from players and fact Verts was in the presser, I have a horrible feeling AVB is going to play a near full strength side. I'm all for squad gelling but seems silly.

The way he was talking, it's as if he thinks the same mistake will be made as against Milan, think he mentioned something about killing the game off  i hope a couple of youngsters get some game time, Dembele i would imagine won't play any part..
