That being said, if we are going to play this flawed system, I'd rather Chiri and Bentaleb than Dier and Dembele but I'd be staggered with the Everton side out that they don't carve us open when we lose possession cheaply.
This is my fear. That Everton team is very solid, has some quality players and is full of experience.

I like the idea of being more progressive on the right with Chiriches and lennon and also the use of kane and soldado. But I worry about our ability to keep our shape and discipline. There is also a chronic lack of pace apart from lennon. Mason and Fazio are as slow as Stambouli and Chiriches and vetting hen are not exactly quick. The same can be said of kane, soldado and eriksen.

Our squad needs some serious work imo.

11 vs 11, Everton have the better lineup. Massive performances needed from Bentaleb and Mason. Could be a great partnership. Potentially.

OS has Spurs with Davies at rb and Verts at lb, Everton wih only 7 players in their line-up.
So we have a chance:LOL:

Good team they are, but lets not pretend they're Bayern tinky :)

If Lukaku has one of his better days I'll concede it could get ugly but it probably won't be as bad as people are making out.
It's relative, pinky. They have strengths to exploit our weaknesses. Simple as that.

I'm off out. COYS

Sorry, Im not sure? Are you for or against the line up?

Do you think we should have put Mackay and Hoddle in? Maybe see how they handle Ginola down the left.

Surely you are not bemoaning Capoue and Paulinho not forming the heart of our midfield?

I'd rather we start our leading goal-scorer and assist man. Is that too much to ask? Meaning Chadli and Lamela in, drop Soldado, and play a much more stout, experienced duo in the middle. Dembele and Capoue/Stambouli would give us far more tackling ability and ball retention in the middle of the park than Mason and Bentaleb.

Bentaleb, Mason, Kane, All home grown players, I like that, The way forward hopefully. Less foreign imports and more home produced talents.

I feel the game lay in who is going to pick up Barkley, he will be operating between the lines.

I don't see who out of Benteleb or Mason the natural player is to pick him up, looks like a high line to me.

Also Faz and Verts better be up to tussling with Lukaku, I do not want to see them being bullied.
