Interesting thoughts from Martinez...

looks as though we're okay after all!
Haha yeah, 'you don't have to improve spurs, just keep playing the way you are and you're bound to beat us :sneaky: '...fair play Martinez. Didn't know he had the psychological pre-game in him.

Well, the dirty ball bags down the road are now winning so that basically means (seeing as we seem to be forever in their rear view mirror) that we won't capitalise on being within a couple of points of CL contention in the league.
As much as I hate to be negative, I'd be very surprised/happy if we managed to nick a result against the Everton tomorrow.
Having said that, I though the second half on Thursday was promising and we showed signs of having a little more confidence and did manage to get into some good positions and did put some good moves together at times albeit against inferior opposition.
I do think we have a team here somewhere, and I do believe, especially since the latest ITK was posted, that things are maybe slightly freer and more positive in the camp currently.

If all of our players can click and play as a team, and read each other a little better, I think we'll hopefully have a stronger second half of the season.
A win tomorrow would be massive. Could very well provide a good kick start and maybe a string of more positive performances/results.

That being said, it could also be highly optimistic, and we'll put in a dog shit performance and take a ram rod between the cleft of our buttocks and languish in mid-table for a while longer....

But Newcastle and West Ham are playing eachother so it was always going to be at least 3 points to 4th before kick off tomorrow.

This game reminds me a bit of the Southampton game earlier in the season. Lose and it looks very grim for us, win and it goes a long way to taking the pressure off.

Townsend 5'11"? Next to 6' Lamela and 5'10" Eriksen. LOL. Why do clubs lie about player height?

I think it's obvious from the picture that andros is slightly bending his knees, giving off the perception he's smaller than 5'11.

...here's to hoping we don't have to start wasters Lamela, Soldado, Stambouli, and Chiriches in this fixture...Ade, Dembele, and Paulinho ready for a resurgence...I wish we had hired Martinez instead of Poch...

I'd take a 0-0 bore draw where Everton dominate right now if you offered it to me. I just want us to stop losing home games. Please, no more home losses this season. Although Evertons speed, power and especially workrate is so much better than ours its not even funny.
It will only be a bore draw if we play 1 striker. If MoPo does not play 2 strikers he is preparing a noose for his own neck.

Going to be an interesting line-up.
I was up for giving Stambouli a start until I saw how slow he was on Thursday. Bentaleb may get the nod instead.

RB will be interesting? Will it be Dier or Chiriches?

I have no idea who will be starting. And wouldn't know what to do if I were in Poch's shoes.

No you see what's happened there is that they're standing in the exact spot where they've been taking shots from. Of course, Andros has been taking more of the turf that the ball.
