We definitely had luck on our side tonight. Hope it lasts until Sunday!

I really thought we were going to our usual trick of letting in a goal near the end. None of our players covered themselves in glory today, but we got the three points and that was SO important. It also means that at the weekend we can't drop into the relegation zone even though we won't be playing in the league!

THATS A GREAT WIN, WELL DONE LADS!!

Just as I was thinking that woody hasnt done much since the Carling Cup Winner, bam he scores!

Another fantastic cross from Disco Benni!!!

Jenas was decent I thought, probably better than Wilson.

What do the Gomes bashers have to say now??? Carlo flapped more than Gomes adn almost cost us the game

loved Harry's dig at all the amateur 'experts' who slagged him off for his shaktar team

especially nice for the amateur experts like me and others who backed him :)

Yes!!!

Thing improved a lot more 2nd half. Like I said we needed to improve our passing in midfield and I think we did.

About time a late goal went in our favour.

Spot on Duff! I thought we played quite well in the second half, i mean we were attacking right from the off.....how many corners did we have!!!

Playing away from home, against a pretty tough tackling Hull side - i thought we did well for ourselves! Hull close down quite quickly and don't let teams get into any rythm - so for us to at least get into some kind of passing game was a definite improvement and showed that we had more confidence!

I didn't think Jenas played that badly, credit should probably be given to Hull for getting on him so quickly, rather than blaming Jenas entirely.
If anyone played really badly it was probably Keano - who IMO should've come off rather than Bent, who at least was trying!

Fellas let's get real "play ugly and winning" is just another way to say we were v.lucky today. We've been playing badly for a while now, this results just papers over the cracks. I'm happy we won, but I'm not deluded enough to think we're out of the woods yet, or that the performance tonight was acceptable.
Dirty 'Arry needs to sort this out now. He's had time but we're still shit. As others have mentioned we play with no urgency or passion, and the football is dour. I thought the great thing about 'Arry was his motivational techniques, yet we still seem emotionless.
Harry's an experienced Prem mananger yet I'm hard pushed to mention 3 matches in which we played well for more than 30mins.
Zola had a worse squad than 'Arry and yet he's fashioned a strong unit who play attractive football. All Harry has is pitiful excuses
He's had time, he's not new to the EPL and yet we're still cack. I just don't understand.

Did the rest really do us any good? I don't think so...but the three points are welcome.

Anyone worried by corlukas form? Been v. Poor last few games

Yep, he's been dozy. Almost gave a goal away against Arsenal attempting to shepherd the ball out, cocked it up again which led to a corner, also gave away possession a few times. Looks lost when he crosses the halfway line.

Charlie has been one of my favourite players this season but his form of late has been less than inspiring - was really frustrated that Harry didn't use Chimbonda to add a bit of attacking impetus to the team.

We played a lot of long-ball which was incredibly tedious and dumbfounding. Why o why against Hull are we playing long ball to Rabbi Keane?

Keano looked rather toothless, as he did against Arsenal. I'll give him time but JD didn't need it!

Modric, Palacios (ooh how I love him), Lennon and BAE played well. Let's face it, although I picked BAE for MOTM, we would NEVER have won that game without him. Brilliant signing.

Jenas was average - I think the problem with him is he is immature e.g - what the hell was the 30 yard shot on the volley all about when he had a man bearing down on him and other options?

I briefly wanted to kill Woody a minute before his goal when he booted a long ball into touch. Thanks for redeeming yourself big guy.

Yeah. Let's sack him and get Zola in.

I'm lost!!! Can someone define the term 'ugly play' please!!

Lets not forget, this was an AWAY game, against a team that is tougher than a lot of people give them credit for.
Maybe we HAD to play in this so called 'ugly' way in order to get passed them.

This was never going to be a game with flowing passing or lots of creativitiy! Although Harry may not have got all the tactics right, with players in the right positions, but in my mind he did set up the team to play against a tough, compact Hull side!

The aim today was 3-points, and if we played 'ugly' maybe it was down to Hull, and not entirely us!

Grumpy bastards...you would have thought we had lost from some of these comments.

This season is all about staying up at the moment and im really not bothered if we end up 17th...as long as we stay up.

it was a fantastic result and a decent performance thoroughly vindicating HR's decision to rest most of the team v SD

the floor is open for all those who gubbed HR over it

HR hopefully will play even more youth players v SD on Thurs and not play any or at most one or two of our cup final game

mr consistency JJ once again had another decent game that's 3.5 out of 3.5 since he returned

it's why he's part of every spurs manager's first XI - and oh how it kills the jenas bashers :)

look forward to seeing him start v man u in the final

Ugly play basically means you didn't play, or you played shit. Lately we've been playing ugly a lot.
