I disagree with this. We had control for a bit and then slipped and made silly mental errors to let them in.

We played it out wide because the middle was congested, and then our wide players would just give the ball away allowing Liverpool to counter attack.

Liverpool wouldn't have beaten any of team by this margin on the basis of their actual performance today. We have gifted it to them, as we always seem to recently.

As a TEAM we cannot defend especially our midfield. Rodgers has it spot on how to play, hard press for the first 15 minutes get in front, drop deeper and absorb the pressure from the opposition and as time goes on holes appear in the opposition to counter into.

Frustrates me that the art of team defending has disappeared in the modern version of football.

EDIT: Oh yeah, forgot that most of our players are mentally inept they do not understand the game or how to affect the game in different situations.

Out team has no X factor.
Modric, VDV, bale and berbatov all gone and not replaced.

Eriksen at the moment is no more than a dead ball specialist and he was below par even at that today.

I don't know what to say about lamela.

What do you want Lamela to do? Take the whole of the Liverpool team on, nutmeg each of their back 4 and score with a bicycle kick every 10 mins!?? - Its not just about him, its about movement from other players and finding space. IMO he might not have been great today, but that has more to do with Liverpool's excellent (and well drilled) marking/closing down - tbh he hasn't done badly, he wants the ball all the time and isn't afraid to try and go forward - its only his 3rd game, c'mon!!

It's difficult I rate both bit Capoue is much more disciplined than Sandro.
Just don't see what he offers. Where the tenacity that a defensive midfielder needs? Sandro chases all day whereas Capoue seems to take a touch and pass sideways.

We need to beat a big club soon, otherwise our mentality will be shot to pieces. We almost looked beaten within 20 mins.

Why didn't we get Rodgers when we had the chance before AVB

Up there with Klopp as the best coach in the world

Rodgers didn't look so clever when Redknapp was in charge here. Probably because Redknapp's team knew how to stand up for itself.
