You know Adebayor is suspended, right? And you know Caulker was out ill? And that BAE is injured thus we're pretty much forced to play Vertonghen at LB, what with him being an international in that position and everything? I think you'll find that what we're doing at the moment is known as making the best of what we have available.
You do know that when Adebayor wasn't suspended he was being benched for Defoe right? You do know that Gallas has started the majority of our games right. Even with Caulker and and Dawson available?

Only got to see the highlights on MoTD and from that.... 'Well done Kyle Walker'.

Not just the goal line clearance, which I would've fully expected to go in off Gallas tbh, but for some good positional play and interceptions. I hope the lad is back to his best. Those that saw the full game might enlighten me if I'm wide of the mark.

A good three points and winning breeds winning, doesn't it......? (y)

I was going to post this in the MOTM thread but I thought so many players were poor tonight. Even Sandro who's normally excellent was sloppy. Bad passes, clearances and tackles that went back to them and getting caught in possession. The positive thing to take from the game was that we did quite well as a team and the team work got us the win in spite of numerous individual errors.

He has been back to his best the last two games (thank goodness). I also have to give a shout out to Dawson, who I thought was immense tonight.

Just had a look on RAWK and they are all saying they deserved at least a draw. I know the f**ked us in midfield after we went 2-0 up but did they really threaten our goal. I thought Lloris looked comfortable and that the only way they could beat him is from that freak own goal.

Yeah, Walker was fantastic tonight. The only mistake that Walker made was knocking the ball away as Lloris steamed out, as it very nearly cost us a goal with Henderson bearing down on it. Fortunately Henderson is dog shite.

Adebayor has been "benched for Defoe" maybe twice. He had no pre-season hence no fitness at the start, then was out for 3 weeks with a hamstring strain, then ill, then went straight back in the side and then got himself sent off. Caulker has started most of our games and it's not that hard to understand the reasoning behind playing Gallas. I have no doubt that Caulker and Dawson would've been the starting CH partnership again tonight if Caulker had been available.

Boy, were we lucky tonight.

Liverpool should have had 6 penalties. It is clearly to our good fortune that Phil Dowd was seen chanting 'Jermain Defoe, is a Yiddo' repeatedly under his breath.

And don't get me started on the groundsmen. Boy did they expertly fuck Liverpool over with their devious and skilled use of weeding.

Yep. That plucky little underdog of a club can't catch a break when they play us Established European Giants. The refs and press are too frightened of AVB to ever call him out on his bullshit and obvious slanting of the entire league in our favour through threats, outright bullying and outrageous bribery.

SCOREBOARD BITCHES!

Well we were definitely second-best today weren't we? Apart from a twenty-minute spell in the first half (when we fortunately got two goals) the Mickeys were completely dominant.

I think there were two reasons for this. First, and not unusually, our movement wasn't very good when we had the ball; unlike theirs, which was excellent. Secondly, we didn't close down half as well as they did. Man for man, with the obvious exception of Suarez, I think that our players are as good or better than theirs, so this is the result of a combination of effort and coaching. On this evidence, the Rodgers 'project' is somewhat more advanced than AVB's version - results to date aside.

Regarding Bale's yellow card, I have been as vocal as anybody in criticising him for diving. Today I didn't think that he did. It appeared to me that his foot was caught mid-stride and he didn't do his trademark collapse into a challenge. The ref got it wrong - but that's what sometimes happens when you get a reputation as a diver. It's unfortunate, but we can hardly complain about it.

We were lucky today, but three points is three points and we're back up to fifth. Move on to the next one.

3) I got to send a mocking 'Mind the gap' text to my gooner boyfriend. Sod tempting fate, you have no idea of the ribbing i've taken this week.
I'm concerned for you.

Fraternising with the enemy will only end in tears, so unless he is hung like a horse (and it endears him to you) I humbly suggest that you get rid and go out with a fully-fledged human being instead.
