We'd also have by far the best hair in the league.

This is so true...what with thud and benny....it's like Harlem in the 70s

It swayed to the left.....
It swayed to the riiiiiiight...
Gareth's free kick.....
Made Reina look shite!

I made a complaint to the police on the way out, told them I'd witnessed a robbery on the pitch :)

How on earth did we not concede 4 ?

Because Liverpool have no-one who can hit a barn door with a banjo.

Suarez could still be out their now at WHL in the dark on his own and he still wouldn't put it in the back of the net!

Anyways, this is par for the course with Liverpool post Rafa so no point analysing or conversing about anything now as just be repeating myself for the 1362nd time.

It was a good game though played in the right spirit and if you don't (or in our case simply cannot due to poor players) take your best chances then, frankly you deserve to win nothing in my book.

Congratulations on the win guys and good luck for the Christmas period!

Would love to comment but something so bad happened to my friend at this match I am just trying to block it out.

Sorry for wasting a post but I just needed to get it out.

RODGERS: "We had 65% possession tonight. To me, that's more important than goals."

L O L

This quote is made up and came from a parody account on Twitter.

This is why I hate Twatter.

He may though of thought this in his brain.

Don't get the Liverpool/Rodgers complaints. Neither Gallas or Dembele tackles were even close to being penalties. Clutching at straws

We rode our luck but Liverpool were massively wasteful. Only themselves to blame. They weren't cheated, they were poor in the final third

That's a little harsh on Suarez. If Walker hadn't cleared off the line he would've had one, and (although an obnoxious little shit) he's a wonderful player. I thought that was the best he's played against us, and it's probably because this is the first time we haven't had King Ledley keeping him quiet.

Thanks for the good wishes; reciprocated. Rodgers is clearly going to achieve a lot with you if he's given better tools to work with.

I am not sure I agree with this. I think he has too high thoughts of himself and his own 'progressive' ideas to get it right. A case in point is letting Downing play left back against a team like ours. Of course if you give him the Barca squad he will be a good manager, but cannot see him convincing Henry to part with another 100-120 million pounds - which imo what would be needed to improve this side into something special.
Our inability to control a game when leading, Dawson/Gallas comedy show of passing and Bale's nugget made Liverpool look better than they are yesterday. Their defensice shape and organisation is quite evidently a shambles and they seem to lack a game plan for cutting through defenses. Granted there were some really nervy moments yesterday but they were a question of overcrowding in our area and defensive lapses from our back line than astute play from them.

That said, I would love to hear what it is that you see that I don't that makes you think that Rodgers will achieve a lot.

All I'm hearing is Dempsey dived for the free kick? Thoughts?
It was a foul simple as that, they were doing it all over the park and arguing every one.
Liverpool put us under a lot of pressure but on all honesTly I can't remember lloris having to pull off a save. They did well but we did what we did better. I think I heard they had nine shots on target which must include shots from outside the box that we blocked before they reached the box. Even their goal was more like a headed pass back to lennon they just got lucky.

Lucky win last night... To be honest I thought After first 25/30 minutes Liverpool were he better team. A lot of players had off nights.. Defoe was pretty much anomous Dempsey reverted to type, Gilfi was poor when he came on. At least we won though and a wins a win!

Well the defender was behind him and put his hand on Dempsey's shoulder -> foul

Dempsey probably could stay up...but you just don't put hands on player that is running away from you, simple

Spot on, any attacking player in a similar position would do the same, happens in all games.

I like Brendan Rodgers but some of his comments after the game were ridiculous, cringeworthy, it was bordering on the kind of garbage Dogleash would spout off. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt that it was maybe in the heat of the moment and he hasnt seen replays. Not one of the pundits agreed with him. I see he failed to mention Skrtels cynical challenge in the first half also .....

It's the beginning of the seige mentality as the pressure mounts, he wants the fans to stay onside.

It's textbook, when things aren't going your way: moan about decisions, mention how great the fans are, big up the club's history and praise your players beyond all recognition...it's the Liverpool way.

I love beating Liverpool, for 20 mins it looked like it was going to be a cricket score and we let them back into the game with their stunning passing around the back at 2-0 down. Spurs used to be referred to as a 'joke club' when Liverpool were in there pomp with the best manager ever, the best team ever, best fans in the world, 5 times etc...it wasn't a two man team though, of course it wasn't.

What goes around comes around.

Hard to tell from those, I thought on one of the replays it looked like he was clipped, but that's from a Liverpool Tweet.

Thats very fair of you Toela. I would have been expecting a more frustrated tone in your post about the result, but maybe you are used to games like this?

Personally I though we (Spurs) were shit apart from the first 20 mins, and deserved absolutely nothing from that. If I was a 'Pool fan ...... I'd be mighty pissed after watching that.
