Just got home, was expecting to watch us get beaten quite heavily today. Then I saw the team sheets and thought maybe it wouldn't be so bad.

So many positives from today. When City scored we didn't panic or let our heads drop. Every player did their bit today and Lloris showed why he should only be rested for trips away to teams in Russia or the Arctic Circle that are irrelevant.

I was on such a downer after losing to Arsenal but what a pick-me-up this was - absolutely buzzing.

Fucking get in! Spent the day in transit for holiday, so completely missed the game but I'll happily take it after that result!

Must admit i do prefer Mason and i suspect Poch may brung him straight back in but Alli and Dier have been a good from what i have seen if them.
I'd like to see Mason back in too mate. But it's a good selection headache for poch. Especially when Dembele and Bentaleb are fit again.

SO Kompany and Hart were feeling a bit dicky yet City still started the game with their first choice midfield partnership inc (Yaya Toure no less), Aguero and two signings costing 50m a pop.

Poor babies.

No doubt on paper which team are (and still are) the overall better side, and will likely win the PL this season but for courage, attitude and will to win, Spurs were by far the better team today.

I didn't see a four or five hundred million pounds worth of difference between the two sides today regarding quality, just less experience. The good news is that Poch is building the next Kolarov or Sterling, or Fernando and not just buying them in.

Much more enjoyable watching a growing team win, than one winning that comes in a ready made kit.

I'm seriously pissed off that City fans keep saying our two offside goals were at key times whilst totally missing that their first came against the run of play and was offside, which is clearly a key moment. They also should have lost dimichelis (sp?) whose foul outside their box was a second yellow all day.

Yeah decisions did change the game, but they weren't only in our favour

Paul 'Clueless' Merson's Prediction :

Tottenham v Man City (Saturday, 12.45pm)

"This will be a walk in the park for City, especially after their slip up against West Ham. Spurs' north London derby defeat will affect them, especially as they were looking for a winner when Mathieu Flamini banged in the second.

I can't think of a tougher game for them, and I see this as the game Sergio Aguero comes back to scoring ways in the league. The sign of champions is to bounce back quickly from defeat. City did that in midweek at Sunderland, and I see them doing that again this weekend in the league.

Heung-min Son looks a good buy for Spurs; he's energetic and good on the ball, two hugely important traits. But they'll need far more than that against Man City."

So I wasn't feeling that bad that I had given up my ticket, this morning. Then I got the text at work.

Great game - solid at the back, dominant in midfield, dangerous movement up front. Exciting times! And most exciting of all is this stat, via BBC:

- Tottenham's starting XI against City had an average age of 24 years and 40 days - the youngest in the Premier League this season.
