I thought the Lane was pretty good today. A slight lull around between 50min-75min but not bad at all

Agreed even the Paxton was rocking at times. I did try to start "We are the Paxton", but no takers, my only concern was that it was quite for about 20 minutes or so before we scored and that is the time we need to keep up the noise. I still can't talk properly this morning, mind you the girls in the office think its sexy . The booing of Hart and the referee ( Who was absolute shite) made a difference too. I don't think it was a mirage, but I am sure even parts of the West stand were up dancing and singing after the second goal.

My other comment was how shit MOTD coverage is now. They didn't include our three penalty claims, from the Paxton both handballs in the first half looked nailed on and Dempsey's collision with Hart and co in the second half was dismissed out of hand. Stop the obvious and boring "analysis" crap and trying to be clever with all the graphics and show some football and in particular key moments.

Thats nothing the Irish radio stations, including Today FM which spend about 10 minutes on its sport at 7.30 didn't even mention the Spurs game, despite saying Utd could win the league tonight, but not mentioning because we beat City. I was furious lol.

They don't even do a decent analysis on MOTD. They just basically show you the goals and say stuff like "There is the pass, it was good and it was followed by a fantastic finish!". Neville is the only pundit who actually provides quality. He should be on MNF today right? That's almost always worth a watch.

Watching the game again, on MOTD, I noticed two things that didn't get much attention, Dempsey's brilliant run when he almost nicked the ball from between the defender and keeper and Lloris' fantastic save at one point. I saw both of course but didn't realise how good the save was or what player got behind the defence.

i got a WTF rating a few pages ago for bemoaning MOTD coverage and their bias that spurs can only have won because of Man Citys "mistakes". It annoyed me hugely, as said above though, G nev should make up for it tonight and offer some great analysis. Terrestrial TV football coverage is very poor nowadays, money talks i guess. Still buzzing today, what a great response from the lads. Id say though less talented than last years squad, this team and managerial team play for the shirt a lot more than last season. Chuffed at the guts!

Gary Neville was just showing some clips of our game. Showed that we had poor moment. Was nigh to see someone point it out and I hope AVB will get it sorted from the start of games

Yeah just posted about this in the ratings thread, I'm glad he highlighted this I have been trying to point out all season about our players running away from the man with the ball.

Have to say that yesterday cheered me up no end. My girlfriend left me 2 weeks ago which comes at the end of a pretty traumatic time for me with work problems and no end of family problems so yesterday was just the pick up I needed. Any non footballing fan won't understand that as how can 11 guys that you've never met winning a football match make you happy but all I can say is that THFC have been ever present in my life and will be til the day I die. I pick myself up, dust myself down and move the fuck on!! The future is bright even if it doesn't seem it at times.

Despite my initial doubts, Neville really is an excellent pundit. Good analysis and happy to be controversial/different when need be. I think his analysis tonight was particularly good. So often this season we have bemoaned the loss of Modric and rightly so. But not even Modric could supply a forward line with such little movement. Combine Adebayor's lack of energy/desire and Parker's passing it isn't hard to see why we haven't played as fluidly last season. If Defoe can stay fit, Lennon can return soon then we can have a great end to the season. Maybe 4-3-3 is the way to go for the rest of the season with Lennon and Bale swapping on the wings. And Dembele, Holtby and Huddlestone in a midfield three.

True, but his high pitched, manc voice really grates on my brain. It's not sexy and gravelly like Andre's;)

I think it depends on the opposition, horses for courses

Funny enough the movement he wanted us to do, we were doing earlier in the year but since the passes never came the front just don't make those runs anymore

.

I sit in the West Stand and I do know it's the most boring stand generally however Half way line seats are hard to dislike. But I have to say you're right. It's generally quite quiet where I feel like the weirdo for shouting but during that 7 min spell I have never seen our side act like that. They were going "crazy" felt like I was in the away fans ha. My Dads phone dropped 2 rows down. Was great to see. I'm still buzzing. When Defoe scored on MOTD I was still shouting.
